Last time, on Work of Art: The Next Great Artist, Mark, the "fry cook by day, photographer by night" from Santa Maria, CA, was eliminated. His team effort with Peregrine "Heaven and Hell" was deemed too literal by the judges, who felt that Peregrine's piece was stronger, allowing her to stay in the competition. Billy Bell entered season 6 of So You Think You Can Dance as a frontrunner but had to leave the Top 20 before the first performance due to illness.
