19 homes, 147 rooms and 2.6 million dollars in increased value later, Lukas the designer and Jay the builder go head to head in this weeks season finale. We find them in Ventura CA each taking on at the renovation of a beach home in the hopes of winning the grand prize of $250,000 and the title of American Dream Builder... with a little help from the 10 designers already eliminated from the competition.

This week the remaining four designers are working together, with Jay as their site manager, to renovate a New York Victorian home into a fully functional living space in just five days. Each designer will be judged individually, no more teams.
Projects this week are as follows:
Lukas - guest bedroom (where he's planning to physically expand and add french doors), the kitchen (where he is adding all new cabinets and island), as well as the parlor (where he is planning a vent-free fireplace).

We are down to the final five contestants. In teams of two, their challenge this week is to design industrial loft apartments in Downtown Los Angeles. Team Blue has only Nina and Jay. Team Red has Elaine, Lukas and Darren and each contestant gets an opportunity to show their talents with a signature piece.
Team Red choses Lukas as the site manager and he designates the following areas to his team members: Darren - bedroom, Elaine - den, Lukas - kitchen dining room, living room. Their objective is to go minimalist

Nate decides to switch up the teams for this weeks colonial duplex in Los Angeles, meaning both teams are under one roof. Lukas, Elaine and Darren (site manager) are on Team Red. Their objectives are to build a foyer, build a fantasy bathroom, and create an outdoor oasis on the patio. On Team Blue we have Nina, Dann and Jay (site manager) whose objectives are to open up the staircase, make downstairs ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accessible. The only assigned challenge is to build an incredible master bathroom on both sides

There are only 5 weeks left until the finale and only 7 contestants remaining. Back in teams, their challenge this week is to renovate two craftsman style homes and create more functional work environments for the work-from-home owners. They have only 5 days to build and according to the first few minutes, the contestants seem concerned that one team may have the first house delivered unfinished.
The twist this week is the extra help in the form of either a Chase Freedom card with $5,000 or two carpenters to build
