After showcasing the 60’s the first week and the 70’s last week, I was hoping that Idol wouldn’t do the predictable thing and showcase the 80’s this week, but that’s exactly what they did. Oh well, so much for originality! Tonight the Top 8 guys battled it out to make it into the Top 12 for next week. Here’s my take on their performances this week:

Today we had the opportunity to speak with Atalya Slater the first girl eliminated from America’s Next Top Model Cycle 10. Atalya who is from New York and is currently a student had the following to say:
Q. What made you try out for Americas Next Top Model? Are you a fan of the show?

Tonight’s episode began where it left off last week, with Jonathon and Cirie arguing. In addition the Favorites felt they made a mistake in sending home Yau-Man. With Eliza being sick and overly-dramatic about it, they realized that maybe she should have been the one to go after all.
It was also another night of listening to the Fans moan and groan about how lazy Chett is. But although he walked around with a target on his back all night, he was not the one eliminated at the end of

After 31 million votes, tonight was the second elimination show on American Idol. Another two girls and two guys were sent home leaving the remaining 16 to continue battling it out next week. Although I didn’t agree totally with the contestants that were sent home, there were no big surprises based on this week’s performances.
I was happy to see Luke Mendard and Robbie Carrico in the bottom two since they were the two I chose to go home tonight. Well at least one of my wishes came true. Robbie Carrico
