Five standing ovations by the judges and emotions running high last night on American Idol as the Top 9 laid it all on the table in hopes of winning over America and their votes so they can make it one more week into the competition.

It's the second day in Iceland for the remaining three teams on The Challenge: Battle of the Exes and this is when the final really gets started. They have already completed two tasks but still have five to go, including a treacherous hike up a mountain. So I must admit...last night's episode of American Idol had some amazing performances and it is going to be hard to say goodbye to one of them. However, the person who does go home can leave with their head high...they made Top 9 on American Idol and they left on a positive note after a great performance.

Austin Scarlett was known for his glamorous gowns and eccentric personality during Season 1 of Project Runway. He went far during that season, but lost one challenge before the finale. In return to the runway, Austin designed his way to the finale of Project Runway All Stars.
