There has been a male-dominance going on for the past five years of American Idol. From David Cook to Scotty McCreery, the guys have taken the title every year. Jessica Sanchez was hoping to buck that trend and bring home a victory for the girls. After 132 million votes were cast, the guys continued their dominance, as Phillip Phillips was named winner of Season 11. I'm sure Jessica is quite content with a second place finish. Considered a frontrunner the whole season, Phillip Phillips took home the crown last night, as he was announced the winner of Season 11 of American Idol. It is a tough road to travel for any contestant on Idol, but Phillip endured a lot more as he fought his way to victory while struggling with severe kidney problems the whole time. Following Vicki's blowout with Briana last week on The Real Housewives of Orange County, the pair is taking a little time and space from one another. Brooks surprises Vicki at work with breakfast and gently defends Briana, until he hears that she called him an opportunist. He swears that he's not (I'm not convinced yet) but that he doesn't take Briana's comments personally.
