The episode began with all 14 girls walking around Venice Beach, CA. They are circled by Harry Perry, a Venice Beach icon, who hands them the key to their new house. The house's theme is Vogue Italia, and covers of the magazine line the walls. The entire front of the structure is glass, and the home has a runway and a giant sandbox on the top level.

"Pastry chefs are crazy!" This time, I'm not editorializing. Zac, one of the inaugural pastry cheftestants on Top Chef: Just Desserts, delivered this line early on in the show's premiere episode, a sure sign of a drama-filled first season. At least we hope it's a sure sign.
There are twelve competitors, which is really upsetting to me. I mean, what a perfect opportunity to play off the Baker's Dozen pastry pun and go with 13. Total fail.

The final episode of Top Chef: DC begins right where the last one left off; with Padma calling the three finalists back to Judges' Table. She wastes no time introducing the final challenge, which is for each chef to create the four-course meal of their lives. Gotta love Top Chef and all its flowery challenges. First will be a vegetable course, followed by a fish course and a meat course. Naturally (and much to Ed's dismay), each chef's meal must end with a dessert.

Tonight, it all comes down to Brigade members Hayden, Lane, and Enzo as they battle it out to win Big Brother. The three have been loyal to one another since Day 2 but they have no choice but to turn on each other now in order to make it to the final two and face the jury. Each downplays their game to the other so that they're guaranteed a spot in tonight's finale.
