When Russell Hantz stepped foot on the beach for Survivor: Redemption Island, almost everyone on his tribe was unhappy to see him. That is, except Stephanie Valencia and Krista Klumpp, who teamed up with him but found themselves greatly outnumbered. The other tribe members took out Russell the first chance they had, after throwing a challenge, then voted Krista and Stephanie out next. Tonight's episode begins with the chefs remembering Tiffany and Richard remembering how many challenges he's won. Oh, Richard.
 
Wolfgang Puck is with Padma for the Quickfire Challenge. The chefs are assigning past Top Chef Quickfires to one other. Mike gives Antonia the canned goods, Antonia gives Richard hot dogs to cook with and Blais assigns Mike the one-pot wonder challenge.

Last night, on Survivor: Redemption Island, Krista arrived at Redemption Island and got to talk to Matt for the first time in the game. His good looks may have won Andrea over but it wasn't working on Krista. She came here to win and promises to give him a run for his money.

This week, American Idol brings back their very common theme of Motown. The idols all have to sing a Motown song of their choice tonight and bring down the house with it. The competition is only getting hotter and more difficult each week. Tonight's audience was full of celebrities from Gordon Ramsey to Otis Williams and also included Steven Tyler's own daughter Liv Tyler.
