Last season, on The Biggest Loser, Helen Phillips shocked the world (and herself) when she dropped 140 pounds in time for the live finale. The mom from Michigan lost over 54% of her total body weight and walked away with the grand prize of $250,000. Now, months later, Helen has managed to maintain her healthy lifestyle. Today, she spoke to RealityWanted in an exclusive interview, updating fans on her progress and dishing on the newest season, which premieres tonight on NBC.

By far, one of the toughest competitors this season, on The Biggest Loser: Couples, was Tara Costa. The former model started the show at 294 pounds but quickly found the drive to drop the pounds. She won challenges and weigh-ins, which catapulted her into the finals. On last night’s live finale, Tara finished the season in third place, losing 155 pounds and 52.72% of her total body weight. On last night's live season finale of The Biggest Loser: Couples, Helen Phillips astounded her fans and her fellow players by dropping 140 pounds, winning the competition. The 48-year-old retired retail manager lost more than 54% of her total body weight, weighing in at just 117 pounds. Last week on The Biggest Loser: Couples, each of the final four contestants, Ron, Helen, Mike and Tara, reflected on their time on the ranch and on the show. Each of them ran a marathon, then weighed in one last time. Helen and Tara secured their spots in the finale, while Mike and Ron fell below the yellow line, pitting them against each other in America's vote for who the third person in the finale would be.

Last time on The Biggest Loser: Couples, it came down to Filipe and Ron. Tara and Helen felt no allegiance to either of the two, and both decided to send Filipe home, leaving four in the competition.
This week, the first of many inspirational montages kicks off the show, where each contestant is featured on the first day, then 17 weeks later. Before their final weigh-in on campus, Allison informs them that they will all be spending 30 days at home.
