As promised on last night's results show of Dancing With the Stars, ABC announced the star of the next season of the Bachelor. This time around, it's another one of the previous season's heartbroken, but still lovable contestants: 31-year-old Jake Pavelka from Dallas, Texas.

You may remember Jake as "the pilot," or as the guy who tried to throw Wes under the bus, or as the guy who collapsed against the handrailing of a hotel hallway, sobbing because the girl didn't take him back.

It's safe to say that fans will remember this season of The Bachelor for a long time to come. On Monday night's finale, Jason Mesnick decided to end things with Molly Malaney in favor of Melissa Rycroft. In a sweet and romantic moment, Jason declared his love for Melissa and proposed. There was no fairy tale ending, though. Not even six weeks later, Jason was ready to end things, saying that their relationship had changed when the show wrapped filming. Tonight was the reunion show which is usually held after the season is over, but because of the "dramatic" final rose ceremony and what happens after the season ends, the network decided to air this the week prior to the finale, keeping its audience on pins and needles for another week.
