Survivor 17: Gabon

It took me a few minutes to figure out why the remaining eight would call their new tribe NOBAG but then I got it – it’s GABON spelled backwards.  OK so let’s give them a “C” for clever!

The first challenge was a typical Survivor auction where each member received $500 to spend, sometimes on something they could see and sometimes on something they could not see.  Randy made the first purchase of peanuts and beer.  Kenny spent $320 for something unknown that was the choice to

Well it seems Corinne and Charlie were pretty ticked about Marcus’ departure.  I thought it was dangerous for Corinne to mouth off to everyone else about how Marcus “deserved to be there longer”.  It was admirable that she had Marcus’ back but at what expense….her own neck maybe?

The show started with the reward challenge which was basically a golf game with sling shots instead of golf clubs.  The object was to shoot the golf ball out of a slingshot and whichever tribe got the ball into

At the start of the show there four tribe members left on FANG (Crystal, Matty, Sugar, and Kenny) and they all talked about sticking together until the end.  By the same token there were six tribe members on KOTA (Corinne, Suzy, Bob, Randy, Charlie, and Marcus) and they also talked about sticking together until the end.  That’s because everyone was under the impression that they were headed for a merger, especially since they were brought to what
