Despite being indicted on federal fraud charges, Apollo Nida is not a stupid man. Which is exactly why not too long after apologizing to Kenya for tarnishing her "good" name, Apollo marched himself down to a lawyer's office to find out what his options were for his marriage. "I despise everything about Phaedra, but I still love her" he said. Even though he still loves her, he has to be smart. If Phaedra files for divorce while he's in prison, she has the upper hand and he could be left with nothing.
