Who could forget "American Idol"? No one, because it hasn't been gone for very long. But ABC is bringing it back and they're doing it with new superstars behind that famed desk.
The search started in Portland in August, and made stops in several cities between Oregon to Orlando. This time, however, contestants didn't necessarily have to show up in person. They were also allowed to submit audition videos online and on social media using #TheNextIdol. 300,000 posts later, we finally have an air date. "Live with Kelly and Ryan" got the exclusive, straight from Ryan himself (of course), that the OG music competition show is returning Sunday, March 11th, 8:00-10:00p EDT.
It has already been announced that the judges are Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. And if there was any confusion, Ryan Seacrest will be returning as host with Brian Dunkleman. Just kidding, Ryan has been a solo act for more than 15 years now.
