The judges and audience will hear the bottom 3 sing and based on their performances, the judges will pick the one person they would like to continue in the competition. That means two more people are headed home this week. No one can be sure if we're at the Top 6 or Top 8 because American Idol makes the rules up as they go, but you can be sure that everyone still in it will sing and people are leaving. Before anything the contestants get to sing duets with each other. I'm guessing it's just going to be a run-off... I could be wrong. Does being paired with LaPorsha automatically mean you're a winner or a loser? In other news, Nick Fradiani gets a television debut of his new song.
The Duets:
LaPorsha and Trent - See You Again - My Pick: LaPorsha
Sonika and Avalon - Rise Up - My Pick: Avalon
Dalton and MacKenzie - I Want It That Way - My Pick: MacKenzie
Tristan and Lee - I Don't Want To Miss A Thing - My Pick: Tristan (but I love Lee so much)
Proving why they deserve to be in the top 6:
LaPorsha - Come Together
MacKenzie - You Are So Beautiful
Trent - Stand By Me
Tristan - A Broken Wing
Dalton - Eleanor Rigby
The bottom three are Sonika, Avalon and Lee.
Avalon - Pretty Young Thing
Lee - Let It Be
Sonika - I Have Nothing
For people begging to stay, the bottom three performances were only eh. Nonetheless, two must go. The one person staying in the competition for now is Sonika. That means Avalon and Lee are gone. It makes my emoji sad that Lee is leaving because who doesn't love that pint size boarder?
