'The Bachelor' host, Chris Harrison tells all in an interview before we see Ben confess his love to two women, a first in the dating series' history. Not only did we get info on Ben, but also which women would be suitable to be the next Bachelorette or contestants on "Bachelor in Paradise." Here it is...Chris Tells All.
Q: What was your reaction to Ben telling two women he was in love with him? Were you anticipating he'd pull a Mesnick and change his mind?
Chris Harrison: Honestly, I was a little bit shocked... he has compartmentalizing which you really have to do and this sounds weird in dating, but you kind of have to live in the moment and live in that relationship... So later, when we kind of talked to him about the fact that he had told two women that he loved them and he kind of stopped, it was like, oh, I think he just felt the moment, set it and believed it... But I think if anything, I was a little bit shocked that he really did get there with two women."
Reality Wanted: We're still expecting first time surprises coming up to the finale of this season. Does anything surprise you anymore or have you become desensitized of all the crazy things that have happened over the past 20 seasons?
Chris Harrison: What's funny, I have said this before, but you know, you don't become desensitized because I always tell everybody that I don't know what it is yet, but going in to every season, something is going to happen that we've never run across before. It's inevitable and it always happens, and you just have to wait for it and figure out what that it is, and it will present itself... every season is so different because Ben is unlike Sean, and unlike Kaitlyn, and unlike, you know, everybody who has come before him. They all bring their own history, their own baggage, you know, their own stuff and they go about it differently.
Reality Wanted: Last season we had two Bachelorettes, is that something we may see again or maybe not?
Chris Harrison: No. I think we just did -- you know, that was a Mike Fleiss call for sure and it's way above my pay grade. But you know, Mike was listening to both camps... And so finally, he said, "Look, if my own camp is divided, everybody else thinks we're divided," so the situation worked itself to that... And this season, you really don't have that break.
Obviously, there are three women left that would be great. I know people are talking about Becca.
Reality Wanted: We think Becca too
Chris Harrison: Do You? Are you team Becca? She's a swee girl. She'd be really good. She'd be a good bachelorette.
You know, people are just screaming for Amanda and people that, you know, who knows what will happen with JoJo and Caila and Lauren, so we'll see. And the good news is we don't have to make our decision quite yet and we kind of wait and see what happens at Women Tell All... But I think we kind of have an embarrassment of riches right now with who end up in Paradise and then who will be our bachelorette.
'The Bachelor: Women Tell All' airs Monday night on ABC and maybe we'll get a better idea of the front-runners for the next bachelorette.
