Cassidy is a 26 year old from from the Bay Area. She loves riding horses and surfing. She is also excited about being naked because that means no tan lines. Her PSR starts at 6.1. She brings along a pot while her partner, Jeremy, brings a snare wire.
Jeremy is from Monroe, LA and is a 38 year old construction worker. He loves hunting, fishing and catching "gators". His PSR score starts at 7.3.

West Nalaut Island in the Philippines is hot and humid and full of mosquitoes carrying dengue fever virus as well as the venomous philippine cobra that can kill in less than 30 minutes. Their plan is to trek to the eastern bay to start their temporary home on the island. First things first, shelter and water. Since Jeremy has proven that he can make fire from bamboo, it's time to get started. But, Cassidy feels digging a well might be best. She is off to search for water while he tries fire. Unfortunately neither are successful. The next day they dig a one-person deep well and finally find moisture, but it smells horrible. Hours of work and it's not even drinkable. The only drinkable liquid they have found is coconut water but the sip Jeremy took was from a rotten coconut, causing him to vomit. After finally getting fire, they are able to boil the well water. A few days later they find a rat in the well, but Jeremy saw it as a protein source while Cassidy saw it as a water contamination. Nonetheless, they fire up the grill and eat the little guy.

We haven't seen much of what they're eating, other than the rat, but we do know that their water source changes with the tide causing them consistent strife. Jeremy cuts down a banana tree to access the root water. Too much coconut can cause intestinal issues from constipation to severe diarrhea. Luckily Cassidy comes upon eggs. Unfortunately it's an embryo... but they boil it anyway.

By day 10 both survivalists are desperate. Their fire has gone out and they are struggling to restart it due to low energy. Without fire, they are also without water. On day 12 Jeremy says, "Don't give up". Cassidy seems up for the challenge and by 7p that night they get a flame. That doesn't mean the water well is doing... well. Looks like tapping out is their only option (Day 13). By the end Jeremy lost 18 pounds and his PSR score lowers to 6.1. Cassidy lost 9 pounds and her PSR score lowered to 4.9. Ouch.
