He's the game player. The one trying to turn the odds to Blue's favor by gaining a whopping 17 pounds for this week's weigh-in. Teams were split this week into four groups of three. Black Team Member Jez won the "High/Low" card game challenge for power to pick which members would make up those teams with an ace of hearts. Most members folded after the stakes got a bit too high. The bidding consisted of Oreos, chocolate chip cookies, vanilla wafers, cheese, crackers and peanut butter cups. Most members "folded" their hands early, to not consume the unneeded calories. A showdown between Red Team Member Amy, playing with only a nine of hearts and trying to put on her best poker face, and Jez who both consumed 1,750 calories in the bidding war.

Jez says he picked the teams to "level the playing field," but also to serve HIS best interest putting at least one black team member on each team and snagging Blue Team Member Neil and fellow Black Team Member Isabeau for his own saying they are "dedicated, hard workers." Although the teams are now split, they still can choose their trainer, but weigh-in as a team. The team with the lowest percentage of weight loss goes to elimination, with the remaining teams choosing who to vote off.The other three teams are as follows:

  • Blue Kae, Red David and Black Hollie

  • Blue Ryan and Nicole and Red Bryan

  • Black Julie and Bill and Red Amy

Amy, Amy, Amy. I have to tell you, I wasn't a fan at first with her whining and lack of appreciation of being chosen to compete for $250,000 dollars and lose a ton of weight in the process. But, this week. I think she's become my favorite. Strange how that happens, huh? Amy felt Red Team Trainer Kim Lyons betrayed her last week by "throwing her under the bus" and telling her team basically, to stay in the game, Kim should be voted off. Well, she made it through the elimination round and chose Jillian as her trainer, which sent Kim into a spiraling tailspin of anger, jealousy and visible self-doubt.

Amy, letting her feelings be known to Kim and everyone how she only has "her weight loss and ultimate health" in mind when "it's convenient for her was in tears and seemed a bit "lost." Jillian, being the caring, wonderful soul that she is in a loud whisper said, "Do you want to train with me?" And Amy jumped at the chance. Jillian said Kim does not push Amy, which plays to her weaknesses. The trainer switch, switched something inside Amy because at the next challenge, to win a Biggest Loser Bowflex Home Gym, Amy busted her ASS. Running the last few laps of pushing a metal arm around and around, with her teammates on board. Team members could switch out once they tired out anytime during the 75 revolution challenge. Amy helped win the challenge for her team, ultimately winning my respect with her hard work and rejuvenated spirit.

Unfortunately, her hard work in the gym and the challenge did not help her at the scale. She lost NO weight. Being a person who has a few pounds to lose myself, to say the least, is confident the body is making a switch. I predict she'll drop huge numbers next week. Of course, however, we don't see all the contestants eat when off camera. Which brings me to Neil. Wow. A 17 pound gain at the scales. Once everyone picked their jaws up off the floor, reality set in and contestants realized, he threw the weigh in.

Jillian was heart-broken, Bob was pissed and all the contestants wailed about "integrity and fair game play." Neil denied, denied, denied and wrong-doing. Then, in a surprising confession, he admitted to producers he was "playing the game" and had been shocked at the large, obvious number. He said when Blue split up, he promised to do something like that to keep Blue in the game till the end. And, in the end, his plan worked. Blue stayed loyal to him in the elimination, and ended up giving Jez the boot. Jez has lost 103 pounds to date going from 345 pounds to 242.

Next Week:

MOST EMOTIONAL ELIMINATION SO FAR OF THE SEASON -- In the aftermath of last week's surprising game play by one contestant, the other players - and the trainers -- try to move on and bring the focus back to weight loss rather than gameplay. This week's challenge tests the endurance of all the teams, and host Alison Sweeney tells them the prize will give the winning team a great deal of control over this week's competition. Then it's the most emotional elimination yet of the season, followed by a very emotional homecoming when the eliminated player returns home to family and friends.
