Luvo has a philosophy: make it easy to make great choices by making meals that taste amazing and are wholesome, convenient and accessible.
The teams challenge is to create an entertaining bistro and product tasting highlighting the brand and it's products. They are to focus on an original brand theme or slogan and include a tasting menu. It will then be presented to the executives as well as diners and Delta Airlines (who serve the meals on their flights). Luvo executives will be judging based on brand messaging and overall presentation. $20,000 will be awarded to the winning team and Luvo has offered another $30,000 to go toward the winning project manager's charity.
Volunteering as project managers for this task are Vivica and Terrell. During the presentation for the men's team Gilbert took his humor too far and their slogan wasn't provable "Eat lean, live long". The judges exclaimed that his humor was inappropriate for a family brand. Positives were that the service was professional and enjoyable.
They did, however, think team Infinity (the women's team) did a great job embracing the message and thought Leeza was a great spokesperson but they didn't like their execution. But in the boardroom, Vivica shamelessly throws Shawn under the bus and tells everyone that she got her period and wasn't able to perform at 100% because of it... obviously trying her best to embarrass Shawn. Solely based on slogan, the women win this task. Vivica wins $50,000 for her charity, Best Buddies.
When asked to bring in two teammates, Terrell brings in Gilbert, for his humor, and Geraldo, for the failed slogan.
::SPOILER ALERT:: GILBERT GOTTFRIED is FIRED. Not for being inappropriate, but because the client didn't like what he had to offer.
