The Real Housewives Of Atlanta Season 6: Episode 14 - Kandi

by Jessica Blackwell

And the brawl continued! After a wounded Brandon was led away, barely escaping Apollo's grip yet again, another beef started up. After Greg made nice with NeNe and hugged it out (boy was his common law wife pissed when he did that) Kandi decided to bring up what Natalie said about her man. At some point during this confrontation, Cynthia got up and decided to start waving her fingers around in Kandi's face. Wrong move! Peter and Todd got involved and the four of them almost started brawling! Kandi got so angry, she was reduced to tears and definitely let another side of her show.

After the brawl was over, there was nothing left to do but rehash everything that went down and play the blame game. Cynthia thinks Kandi behaved like a street thug and didn't appreciate the death threats. Kandi knew she behaved badly, but wasn't about to feel guilty for acting how she felt.

As the housewives recanted the story, opinions were shoved in and certain things were conveniently forgotten. Cynthia refused to acknowledge that Mal pushed Kandi and NeNe flat out denied that Christopher laid a hand on Kenya, but the footage told a different story.

There were also many different opinions shared on why the melee happened in the first place. Porsha said that a demon came and possessed them all. Phaedra says that were all acting like stereotypes - ghetto, ratchet black women and NeNe just felt it was all Kenya's fault.

I don't know why or how this all happened, but we all learned several things:

1. Don't come for Kandi's man

2. NeNe has lost all touch with reality

3. And last but not least - Apollo looks good without a shirt on. Yum.

Despite his cracked ribs, Brandon took the high road and decided not to press charges against Apollo for the sake of he and Phaedra's children. Apollo took the low road (anyone surprised?) and  tried to downplay his role in the situation, leading me to question if he realized the whole thing was taped? No matter how minor he tried to say the incident was, the fact is that he acted like the incredible hulk on steroids for something that wasn't his fight.

What struck me about this entire situation is that NeNe REFUSED to acknowledge her part! She claims the entire fight started when Kenya stood up and crossed the room, but let's talk about why she crossed the room. NeNe decided to bring up the common law marriage thing out of the blue, KNOWING it would stir up drama. So who really "started" it? Either way, NeNe is refusing to communicate with Kenya until she takes responsibility. Well isn't that the actress calling the reality star a phony?

For once, I have to agree with Kenya. Chris did grab her, NeNe started the entire situation and Apollo was totally out of line. Its a sad day in hell when I agree with crazy Kenya, but that's what RHOA has reduced me to.

Next time, Porsha auditions for Kandi's play and NeNe and Kenya continue to feud.
