The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 3

It's a very special day for Kim on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills - her youngest daughter Kimberly's prom has finally arrived! It's tough for Kim to keep her emotions in check so she makes chicken salad. A LOT of chicken salad. There is a part of her that feels guilty for missing time with her family, so she wants everything to be perfect. But this is also about Kim feeling like she missed out on her own childhood so is she living through her daughter vicariously a little? Yeah, but it's okay.

Yolanda is planning a dinner party for the ladies, which doesn't seem like the best idea, but let's all hope for the best. She meets with her caterer/butler who seems awfully familiar... because he is also Camille's butler. Weird. In any event, the party seems like it's going to be amazing and Yolanda is sparing no expense, plus she seems like she'll be the hostess with the mostess what with her amazing house and love of decorating and entertaining.

Kyle helps Alexia prepare for her upcoming driving test - in a Porsche. Couldn't they rent a Toyota or something for this parallel parking lesson? Alexia wasn't half bad... well, she wasn't four feet away from the curb! Afterwards, Lisa stops by to visit with Kyle and yet again, says she's uncomfortable around Adrienne and wants an apology. If you want an apology so bad Lisa, why don't you ask for one?

On the way over the party, Paul complains that he's upset with Lisa because she made comments about Adrienne's shoes, their dog, and didn't say goodbye when she moved. Wait, is Paul 12 years old? He's upset because Lisa made a comment about SHOES? We get enough drama from the housewives, we don't need people like Paul or Brooks over in the OC compounding the issues.

Among the guests at Yolanda and David's dinner party is trumpeter Chris Botti who is 50?!!! It doesn't even seem possible. I don't know how old I thought he was, but it definitely wasn't 50. Former American Idol alum Michael Johns is also on hand, as well as singer Nina Whitaker LoFontaine who (fun fact) did all the demos for The Bodyguard soundtrack. I sense an "impromptu concert".

It turns out Richard the butler/caterer has been everywhere. Kyle recognizes him first from Camille's but it seems he worked for Mohammed too. Is he a tv butler, a real butler, a butler for hire, what is this guy's deal? Taylor gets tipsy at dinner and goes on to Chris Botti about how Brandi bragged she slept with everyone in Beverly Hills. First of all, I'm fairly certain that's not what she said and secondly, why does she insist on bringing it up repeatedly?

The rudeness continues after dinner when David tries to entertain the ladies with some music but they carry on conversations and Paul even asks him to change the song for Taylor's sake when Chris plays "Danny Boy". It seems time to call it a night so Yolanda sends the ladies on their way. If they're not going to appreciate what she and her husband are trying to do, then they can head on home.

Following the party, in which they didn't speak to each other, Adrienne reaches out to Lisa and asks to meet for a drink. The two ladies sit down to hash things out but we'll have to wait until next week to find out exactly what went down. Are you anticipating a truce or a blowout?
