Bachelor Pad Season 3

by Gina Scarpa

Nick, Chris, Ed, Rachel, and Jaclyn have not all been in the same room since the finale of Bachelor Pad last month and not everything between them (and other contestants) is water under the bridge quite yet. For the most part, these five players have gone back to their everyday lives with the exception of appearances, such as the one this weekend. They showed up to party at Mohegan Sun's Sweet (And Not So Sweet) 16th Birthday and talked to RealityWanted about who they're talking to, who they're not, what the fans have been like, and what their goals are going forward.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: It seems like the girls come into Bachelor Pad with a different agenda than the guys, right?
A. Chris: It's Bachelor Pad! You're stuck in a house with a bunch of chicks!
A. Ed: They were there to find love, we were there to find money.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Are you guys close in the Bachelor/Bachelorette family?
A. Ed: I think a lot of us are distributed too far away really...
A. Chris: I had a big finale party. These guys came out, Paige came out.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What is it like when the Bachelor/Bachelorette people get together for events? Are you able to put your differences aside with people?
A. Jaclyn: No. I like, literally cannot stand Jaimie. I cannot say hi to her. I tried to be the bigger person the last time I saw her and that was just... ugh. I will never associate myself with her.
A. Rachel: I don't think I have any bad blood with anyone other than the man of the hour. From anyone that I have seen out, I've always had a blast. I'm just happy to be part of the Bachelor family. Everyone I've met has been awesome and fun.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What's the feedback been like from fans since the show?
A. Rachel: I mean, I've had nothing but positive feedback when I see people. You have some people on Twitter being nasty. Obviously, Nick and I are going to have different supporters. I think you have to understand that people see what they see. There's a lot of stuff that people don't see. It's a tv show and there's a lot that goes on that doesn't make the final cut. You just take it for what it is and realize that they don't know the whole story and try not to be hurt by it.
A. Jaclyn: I've had a really positive experience. After the show, everyone wanted to be my best friend which is totally awesome! I think people got to see all sides of me, especially what I went through with Ed. I think people really, really loved us as a team and that was really great to hear and see. I think, at the end of the day, I swallowed my pride and voted for Rachel and people appreciated that. It didn't end the way I wanted to, but...

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Is it weird to watch yourselves on tv?
A. Rachel: On Mondays, all day at work, it's like anxiety all day. You just don't know what they're going to show.
A. Jaclyn: I used to drink way too much. You're always criticizing yourself and it's really weird. I'm like, "Dad, don't watch. There's an ass slap and maybe some sexual stuff." It's like, eww... it's really awkward.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What have you guys been up since Bachelor Pad wrapped?
A. Nick: I am pursuing more of a hosting type career. If I were to be on tv, it would be in that aspect. I did the reality television awards in LA, it was small but it was good just to speak. I have some speaking engagements coming up. I've done daytime co-hosting. It's just working.
A. Chris: I don't think I aspire to be on tv again but if the opportunity is there and it was the right time, I'd do it again.
A. Ed: THere's like one thing right now that's brewing with a couple other guys from reality shows, some buddies of mine. If it happens, I'll consider it. They're a thousand times crazier than I am. I would probably die in that process.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What's the ultimate goal, career-wise?
A. Rachel: I'm working at Ralph Lauren right now and kind of new there. I feel like I have a double life. I have my job there, and then balance my interviews and stuff on the side. Right now, this is the fun part. I love being associated with the show. I had a blast doing the show, even the outcome wasn't what I wanted. Right now, this is a fun side thing for me.
A. Jaclyn: For me, I've always been very career focused. I was kind of in a funk when I applied to Bachelor and then Bachelor Pad came up. Normal life is my priority. I don't think you're going to be a winner if you constantly try to date and bone Bachelor people. I'm just in the real world and hoping to find an investment banker or something, not like a fitness model or personal trainer with $250,000.
A. Rachel: Oh, I wonder who we could be talking about!
