We're just a few short months away from the return of one of our favorite summer reality shows, Big Brother! Season 14 castings are underway nationwide and if you get in line to audition, don't be surprised if you see a few former houseguests milling about, offering advice, and assisting with the castings. This week, at Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut, BB10's Michelle Costa and BB13's Eric Stein were on hand and we got to catch up with Michelle and get a little audition advice as well!

 

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What has life been like since Big Brother?
A. Michelle: Life has been just great. I actually started doing my own radio show, called Manic Mondays on blogtalkradio.com. We talk about all different types of reality shows and have all different types of guest stars.

 

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: It must be great to get out to events like this and meet up with fans. They're pretty die hard, aren't they?
A. Michelle: Oh my god! Can you say fanatics? Big Brother probably has the best fans ever. They are all about Big Brother, live feeds, you know! They know what's going on, they know who's doing what. They are just a joy and it's crazy. Still to this day, there are people who scream your name. It's kind of wild!

 

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What was your involvement in the casting at Mohegan Sun?
A. Michelle: I was interacting with people auditioning and they asked me for tips and my biggest tip is just to be yourself. If you put up a façade... you just have to be yourself. That's what makes for a good reality shows.

 

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Would you say that the biggest mistake people make when trying out for reality shows is trying too hard to be what they think casting agencies are looking for?
A. Michelle: Absolutely! I think that's the biggest thing! You put this façade on and it can only go on for so long. That's why if you stick with yourself from the beginning, there's no thinking about what you have to say. You just have to be natural. You tend to fumble around if you're putting up a front. People see through that.

 

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Have you followed Big Brother since your season?
A. Michelle: You know, I've actually been watching it since season 1 and day 1. You could say that I'm a fan too and it's exciting to meet up with people from the show. It's pretty fun.
