American Idol Season 11

by Todd Betzold

It was all about the '80s last night on American Idol, but tonight is all about moving one step closer to finding out who the next Idol will be.

We start out by watching the world premiere of Jennifer Lopez's new video for her hit new single featuring Pitbull, "Dance Again." Glitter it up Jennifer. Joshua Ledet is not feeling well tonight and may pass out, so we get a look at a cute message he received from some little fans...very cute.

Now to the results...they will do the results by the duets from last night. First up is Joshua and Jessica Sanchez. Joshua is safe...Jessica is safe also...no one in the bottom three yet, but didn't we all think they both would be safe?

We've had so many results we do need a break, so we get to watch The Wanted perform...they are some cuties...with One Direction is it a comeback for boy bands? Back to the results and the next duet up is Skylar Laine and Colton Dixon. Well, of course and because I figured Skylar and Colton should both be safe, Ryan calls up DeAndre Brackensick and Hollie Cavanagh before he gets to any more results...now we have four results to get. Colton is safe...Skylar is safe...Hollie and DeAndre are in the bottom three (I am correct in my predictions so far...yay me)!

After a performance from Season 5 contestant Kellie Pickler, we get back to the results. The last duet of the night is Elise Testone and Phillip Phillips. Phillips is safe and Elise joins Hollie and DeAndre in the bottom three (I was correct in my bottom three predictions). Ryan send Hollie back quickly (I thought she was going home), so now it is Elise and DeAndre in the bottom two...it better be DeAndre going home.

Now for the final results...the judges don't think America got it right, but did they? The person in danger of going home tonight is DeAndre (and I think the judges may use the save). He gets a chance to sing for his life...will it work? They praised him last night and stuck by that praise tonight even though Jimmy Iovine said he did terrible, but Jennifer said she only has one vote and the judges decided not to use the save tonight.

American Idol airs on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8/7c on FOX.
