As the number of contestants dwindle down on The Biggest Loser, it gets tougher to say goodbye to those you vote out. Conda is having a tough time following Megan's elimination but she has her brother to rely on and help her through the more difficult times. She leaves her conversation with Jeremy not only feeling better, but refocused on why she's there - to make it to the end and win the grand prize.
At this week's competition, a giant picture of their former selves greets the contestants and of course, none of them want to look at it. They must climb a cargo net, retrieve a baseball, and use a slingshot to break two panes of glass on their pictures. Buddy can finally compete again and it's a good thing he did because he completes the task first and wins a one pound advantage on the scale. Mark finishes next, followed by Kim, Jeremy, and Chris. Conda finishes last and now has a one pound disadvantage which means she's going to have to work extra hard. That one pound could easily be her undoing in the competition.
Style expert Jeannie Mai surprises the contestants to let them know that it's not only Makeover Week (Yes! My favorite!) but they'll be going to the White House to meet Michelle Obama. That's definitely the biggest Makeover Week in Biggest Loser history. Before getting everyone all dolled up, Jeannie spends time with each person as they revisit clothes from their closet before they came on the show. Many of the outfits are from their auditions or first taped interviews and it really drives home just how much they've changed.
After settling on their outfits, the group heads over to Ken Paves' salon, where some go through a big change! Buddy and Mark lose the facial hair, Conda chops her hair off for Locks of Love, and Chris dyes her hair which makes her look much younger.
Dolvett and Bob await the contestants at the White House where they look just as shocked and impressed by the transformations as we all do. Then, it's time for the tearful reunions with the families. I'll admit that Mark and Kim both got me when they saw their kids. Every year, that darn Makeover Week reunion gets me! Pass a tissue, please.
The group is led into another room where they meet Michelle Obama but in order to find out what happens from this point on, you'll have to tune in to next week's episode. The first lady even works out with them!
