Things on The Challenge: Battle of the Exes start off kinda weird this week, with a bunch of guys running around in a circle on the beach, lathering one another up with sunscreen. Johnny says two guys oiling each other up is awkward, so the more guys involved, the less awkward it is - or something like that. Whatever he was trying to say, it's still awkward.

 

Ty and Paula continue their love affair (sort of) but when he asks her to take things to the next level, she says he has no chance. Why? Because she has a boyfriend back home ‘cause I'm pretty sure that's over. Back at the house, CT and Diem finally hash out their years of issues. He apologizes for what happened on The Duel II and she apologizes for missing his brother's funeral. With the past finally, FINALLY behind them, they're truly ready to start focusing on winning this thing.

 

This week's challenge is called "Race To The Altar" and teams must survive several wedding themed tasks but in each round, someone will be eliminated. Ty and Emily are out first, while trying to dress up as a bride and groom and scale a wall. They're automatically headed to The Dome. Next to go are Johnny and Camila during the cake eating task. Throwing up cake is not cute. Mark and Robin go out during a task to change a flat tire (random), and then Paula and Dunbar lose to CT and Diem as he carries her across the beach to the altar. That means CT and Diem are this week's power couple and I'm sure they're REAL happy they had that conversation earlier.

 

After a night out at the bar, and too many drinks, Camila and Emily come up with a (not so) brilliant idea to dress up as Ty and Paula and imitate them. That might not have been so bad, if not for Emily smearing chocolate all over her face to play the part of Ty. I'm pretty sure they didn't get a single laugh, just a lot of open mouth, shocked faces in the room. Ty is so upset that he threatens to leave the show right then and there but Johnny and Mark convince him to sleep on it.

 

The next morning, CT has a heart to heart with Ty, telling him that he can't let the house get the best of him. A very despondent Emily sits outside and Ty joins her, to let her know that not only will he stay, but he forgives her as well. This episode really shows just how far Ty has come since The Real World: DC and his short lived stint on previous challenges. There's a lot of progress that he's made and he handled himself with a whole lotta class.

 

Emily and Ty team back up and prepare for The Dome but in order to find out who's going against them, we'll have to wait until next week. Diem wants Paula and Dunbar to go in, while CT guns for Johnny and Camila. Who do you think should face off against Ty and Emily?
