"Buyer Beware"

Naples Hotel - Naples, New York

The Naples Hotel was built in 1895 but the paranormal activity didn't seem to start until after a man committed suicide on the third floor of the hotel in the 1920's.  The current owner, Jason Randall, has given up trying to sell the hotel.  His only interested buyer was said to be driven insane after temporarily leasing the hotel, sending his life into a tail spin.  This buyer was last seen running from the hotel never to return or be heard from again.  Mr. Randall calls the spirit Topper, a ghostly character from a movie that goes back to the black and white days.  Topper is said to be the apparition that, not only appears to the workers and guests, but moves items around the hotel, and sometimes throws objects as well.  Voices and conversations have also been reported.  Mr. Randall does believe that the man who committed suicide is the ghost they call Topper and has never checked out.

TAPS co-founders Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson were the first to investigate the hotel and it was not long before Grant thought he had heard three people having a conversation, like has been reported.  This conversation was caught on their audio recorder.  Not long after this a horrible scream came out of nowhere.  It sounded almost like a rooster crowing.  They believed it may have been a residual type haunting.  As they walked down the hall they noticed picture on the wall hanging crooked.  This occurrence has also been reported by the caretakers of the hotel.  The team was able to show footage that the picture was straight when they had walked down the hall a few minutes before.  Their last stop was the third floor where "Topper" committed suicide.  Some strange noises caught their attention but not much more than that.

Amy Bruni and Adam Berry were the next to explore the hotel.  On the second floor Amy believed she saw a shadow figure and as they went to investigate, they noticed another painting on the wall was crooked.  They again showed footage of them making sure every painting was perfectly straight in the beginning of the investigation.  Britt Griffith joined Adam in investigating the basement.  They called out for Topper and a light fixture came flying in Britt's direction.  You do the math.

The Naples Hotel is haunted and probably still available to be purchased, just don't make any changes that Topper doesn't like.

Gardner Mansion - Gardner, Massachusetts

TAPS returns to a house that they investigated 5 years ago and did experience paranormal activity.  Many years prior, a man lit himself on fire in the house and died.  The new owners, the Gonzalez family, are experiencing so much paranormal activity that they want to sell the house and get on with their lives.  Unfortunately the housing market is dead.  Dark bodied apparitions have been seen and loud noises, creaks, and footsteps are being heard.  Mrs. Gonzalez may have become temporarily possessed at one point.  Mr. Gonzalez found her in the basement digging into the ground.

Jason and Grant headed to the basement first to look into the area Mrs. Gonzalez was digging.  As Grant picked up the small shovel she was using, their K2 meter was giving off very high readings.  It seemed to peak with every question they asked to whomever might have been there with them.  Britt and Adam would later head to the basement and he believed that something reached out and touched his head.  Last stop for Jason and Grant was upstairs in the bedroom were Mr. Gonzalez has his office set up.  A very strange yell came out of nowhere, followed by a giggle, and another team in the house also reported hearing someone walk from one side of the house to the other but only Jason and Grant were in the house and they were both sitting down.

Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango headed upstairs, an area where they experienced some strange sounds 5 years ago.  This time around there was nothing that seemed out of the ordinary.

TAPS couldn't tell the Gonzalez that there was nothing going on, because there was.  The family will now have to decide what they are going to do.
