The Real World: San Diego - Finale

by Gina Scarpa

It seems like only yesterday that seven strangers moved into a fabulous beach house in San Diego but now, it's time for the roomies of The Real World to say goodbye and go back to their regular lives.

Before everyone departs, there's one last party at the House of Blues to attend. Frank and the It Gets Better project have teamed up with Nate and his charity, The Living Memoir. Everyone is supposed to pitch in, by promoting the event and selling tickets, but the wonder couple only sells four. You can see where their priorities are...

The night of the event, Nate cannot calm himself down so he has a few drinks, or ten. Before you know it, he can barely speak and really embarrasses himself on stage. The problem with somebody like Nate is that, when they're drinking, they don't even realize that what they're saying or doing is inappropriate and Frank doesn't like it. Now, Frank is one to talk but at least he's mature when it's time to focus and work.

At the house, Frank and Nate get into it over who did more work, who was slacking off... actually, I don't even know the point of this fight but it's over before you know it. It's not worth it to fight with just one day left in San Diego.

For their last day, Alex, her band, and some of the roomies hand sandwiches out to the homeless and chill on the beach. Nate gets a tattoo that says "Living" and Zach and Ashley decide that they want to stay together after they leave, even though it will be tough. They cuddle up in bed together for their last night in the house, while the Fab Five do one last crab circle in the pool.

When it's time to part ways, just about everyone breaks down. Whether they always got along or not, they're a family and saying goodbye is never easy. Priscilla is chosen as the one to leave the house last and she cries on the stairs as her mom finally comes to pick her up.

You know, I'm going to miss each and every one of these roommates - Priscilla for her love of life, Alex for her kindness, Sam for her outspoken nature, Ashley for her sweetness, Zach for his honesty, Nate for his humor, and Frank for his unpredictability.

Who will you miss the most?
