Seeming the elimination tonight is based only on America's votes, will there be less drama on tonight's episode of The X Factor? Doubt it!
We start out with the Top 4 singing a fun medley...still surprising to see these four up there. It definitely is not who I thought it would be in the Top 4. We then take a look back at the performances from last night before we get the judges some camera time to see what they thought of the show...pointless.
Before we get to any results, we have to waste time and get a performance from Florence + The Machine. Blah, blah, blah...they did great...blah, blah, blah...let's get to some results!
So, again to waste time let's take a more in-depth look at each of the Top 4...Fox you are ticking me off...send Chris home already! We finally get some results (almost 40 minutes into the show). The first two acts moving on to the finals next week are Chris and Melanie (and we just saw Simon get excited and smile...weird).
Time for my rant: I just don't understand this fascination with Chris. Yes, he has a sad story and trying to do positive things. Yes, he can write his own lyrics. He can't sing though...he has no vocal ability and I have never been highly entertained by him while he is on the stage. He is boring to me, so it baffles me every week how he keeps moving on. It confuses me, but I am saying right now...he is going to win it all next week (why, I don't know, but it's how I feel).
That leaves Josh and Marcus left, but not particularly the bottom two because the results are in no particular order. They won't be singing for survival this week, so the bottom vote getter will be headed home. Steve talks to both of them while they are backstage to see how they are feeling, but then we waste more time and get to see Nicole perform her newest single...blah blah!
Now time to get back to the results...will it be Josh or Marcus going home? If Marcus sends home another one of my favorites I may have to boycott season 2! The third act going into the finals is Josh (YAY)! So, Marcus is going home (I do like him, so it is sad to see). So, finals next week with Melanie, Chris and Josh!
The X Factor airs on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8/7c on Fox.
