This week on Dancing With the Stars, each couple danced two dances – one regular dance and one instant dance.
The regular dances were up first starting with Rob and Cheryl, who danced a Quick Step. Len said it was his best dance so far. Bruno thought he was speedier than a drag race and said he has had incredible improvement. Carrie Ann said he is an idea contestant and loves that he grows more each week.
Score: 9+9+9=27.
Hope and Maks followed with their own Quick Step. Bruno said she has never moved so well and added that it was her best dance yet. Carrie Ann gave her a hug and thought they were very in sync. Len said she finally filled her potential.
Score: 9+9+9=27.
Ricki and Derek danced the Waltz. Carrie Ann said her movements are exquisite. Len thought the dance was beautifully executed. Bruno said there was so much artistic detail.
Score: 9+9+10=28.
Nancy and Tristan performed the Tango. Len said she’d been on a plateau until now and she finally improved. Bruno said she had the right attitude. Carrie Ann loves her spirit.
Score: 8+8+8=24.
JR and Karina were the last to perform the regular dance, and they did so with an incredible Waltz. Bruno thought he was totally involved and dedicated. Carrie Ann said something happened during that dance that was magic. Len said he came back all guns blazing after last week’s retreat.
Score: 10+10+10=30.
For the instant dance, each couple received their song just 20 minutes before they had to perform their Instant Jive.
Rob and Cheryl picked the song “Maneater” by Hall and Oates. Len said he did a great job, but added that he needed to flick his feet a bit more. Bruno said he had a great pace and useful energy. Carrie Ann was impressed with the transitions.
Score: 8+8+8=24, which made their overall score 51/60.
Hope and Maks chose “The Best Damn Thing” by Avril Lavigne. Bruno said she was like a wild child. Carrie Ann said she has had definite improvement from last time she did the Jive. Len thought it was fantastic and said it was everything a Jive should be.
Score: 8+9+8=25, which made their overall score 52/60.
The song Ricki and Derek chose was “Land of 1000 Dances” by Wilson Pickett. Carrie Ann said the energy was great, but thought she got lost a few times. Len said she did very well. Bruno thought it was good but could’ve been better.
Score: 8+8+8=24, which made their overall score 52/60.
Nancy and Tristan danced their Jive to “Upside Down” by Paloma Faith. Len said that she was like Cinderella, it is midnight and she needs to go home. Harsh! Bruno said it was too laid back and loose for a Jive. Carrie Ann said it was unfortunate that she got lost.
Score: 7+6+7=20, which made their overall score 44/60.
JR and Karina were last to choose and song, and they chose “Tutti Frutti” by Little Richard. Bruno said his timing was impeccable. Carrie Ann said nobody was even coming close to them tonight. Len said it was the most fantastic Jive.
Score: 10+10+10=30, which gave them a perfect overall score of 60/60!
