Dancing With the Stars Season 13

by Danae Young

This week on Dancing With the Stars, it’s ‘80’s week! All of the songs for each dance are from that neon and spandex-filled decade.

Hope and Maks danced the Tango. Len said there was no strength in her but he liked the aggression and attack she put into it. Bruno said she was strong, sexy and powerful. Carrie Ann thought she was totally strong and in character, but thought her lines got awkward.

Score: 8+8+8=24.

Carson and Anna danced the Jive. Bruno said he is loopier than a Looney Toon. Carrie Ann thought it was definitely fun, but didn’t see much technique anywhere. Len said that if he was judging with his heart, Carson would be back next week, but unfortunately he is judging with his brain.

Score: 6+6+7=19.

Nancy and Tristan danced the Rumba. Carrie Ann wants to see real passion when she is dancing. Len thought it was simple, but effective. Bruno thought it was pitched exactly right and said it was one of her best performances.

Score: 7+7+8=22.

J.R. and Karina danced the Samba. Len said that if anyone asks him how a guy should dance the Samba, he will tell them to look at J.R. Bruno simply said, “Talk about hip action.” Carrie Ann wants more of that because it was amazing.

Score: 9+9+10=28.

Rob and Cheryl danced the Rumba. Bruno said it was very sentimental and thought it was a great performance. Carrie Ann thought it was strong and sexy and liked that he was totally in control. Len said that this dance is difficult for men because they have to be masculine, but thought he pulled it off.

Score: 9+8+8=25.

Chaz and Lacey danced the Samba. Carrie Ann said it was the most dancing she has seen him do in all of his routines. Len liked that he came out and gave the dance a real go. Bruno said he did very well.

Score: 7+7+7=21.

David and Kym danced the Tango. Len thought it was fantastic. Bruno liked that he was in charge. Carrie Ann said he is improving tremendously over the weeks and said he just needs to work on musicality.

Score: 8+9+8=25.

Ricki and Derek danced the Fox Trot. Bruno said they were off timing a little when they were out of hold. Carrie Ann said they work amazingly as a team. Len said that it wasn’t their best dance, but not their worst.

Score: 8+8+8=24.
