As another night opens on the well-known Dancing With the Stars ballroom, another celebrity is sent packing. And as much as we don't want to say goodbye to them, admittedly there's that one person that we're all hoping goes home.
Now, being the good journalist that I am, I watched a plethora of entertainment shows this afternoon just to get the general jist of who the public thinks is going home. Conclusion: Chaz Bono for his weak performance and bad knees. In his defense, you could tell that he wanted to be here more than any other about-to-get-kicked-off celebrity, but still, it was pretty clear that America thought the writing was on the wall.
Meanwhile, Ricki and Derek got the positive end of the feedback spectrum during the show, when they were chosen to do the encore of their energetic jive. Former Dancing choreographers Dmitry Chaplin and Chelsie Hightower also returned with a dance number of their own, getting big reaction from the audience.
It was also the debut of this season's Macy's Stars of Dance performance, which was a modern take on old Hollywood. Full of sex and full of…feathers? Yes, lots and lots and lots of feathers. Big feathers. Also impressive: Demi Lovato's performance of her hit song, "Skyscraper." Even more impressive: the choreography that went along with it.
In jeopardy this week: David and Kym, Chaz and Lacey and Elisabetta and Val. Even with Chaz and Lacey's low numbers, it was Elisabetta and Val sent packing, the second newbie choreographer to go home in the first two weeks of the show.
Hey, at least it wasn't another nip slip from one Ms. Nancy Grace. Am I right?
Dancing With the Stars airs Monday at 9/8c on ABC.
