This week's theme on The Glee Project is Sexuality and Mark Salling (Puck) and Ashley Fink (Lauren) show up to help judge the homework challenge. The remaining 6 contestants perform Madonna's "Like A Virgin" as close to one another as humanly possible. Not gonna lie - it's a little awkward.
After singling out Samuel, Hannah, and Alex, Mark and Ashley decide that Samuel is the winner. The video this week is set to Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" and everyone is paired up - Samuel and Alex, Damian and Lindsay, and Cameron and Hannah. Samuel is feeling like he has the biggest challenge because Alex is gay and he is not, but he'll still have to make it believable.
In choreography, Brooke warns them that their intimate choreography could go a step further. Not sure if that has some of them rattled because a few struggle during their vocal session with Nikki. She does seem happy with Samuel, Damian, and Cameron, though. That's especially good for Cam, because he's so uncomfortable with this whole theme.
The day of the shoot, Alex is over the top while his partner Samuel is believable and interesting to watch. Damian and Lindsay get a little silly rehearsing before they shoot their scene, but get steamy on camera, complete with a kiss. Realizing the bar has just been raised, Cameron has an internal panic attack, especially when he's asked to kiss Hannah. He refuses to cross that line, which probably won't bode well for him.
Two of the three couples ended up looking really good in the video but that weird, sexual food fight between Hannah and Cameron just didn't work at all. Still, Hannah ends up in the top three along with Samuel and Lindsay. For their last chance performances, Alex is given "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor, Cameron is assigned "Blackbird" by The Beatles, and Damian is asked to sing "Danny Boy", the traditional Irish ballad.
Ryan didn't feel connected to Damian's performance but let's not call it the most exciting song that he was given to work with. Alex was told that he needs to start showing other sides of himself and get more "real". I loved Cameron's vocals on "Blackbird" but he's just so far behind the other contestants in terms of growth and always seems to have an issue when it comes to challenges.
Cameron decides on his own that it's time for him to leave the competition. This experience just wasn't for him...
