The Glee Project

This week on The Glee Project, the contestants are paired up to show their... you guessed it, pairability! That's definitely not a word but I digress. If you're gonna be on Glee, you're definitely going to have to have chemistry and work well with others.

The pairs are: Samuel and Lindsay, Damian and Hannah, Cameron and Marissa, and Alex and Matheus. On performance day, Darren Criss returns as a guest judge to watch everyone perform Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now". Alex and Matheus were awkward to watch together, but Cameron and Marissa definitely had some chemistry working.

Samuel and Marissa are the two standouts of the week and Marissa wins the challenge. It's great to see her finally break away from the pack. She gets to choose her partner and dumps Cameron in favor of Samuel. Scandalous!

Each pair will get to do their own music video, which gives them ample opportunity to stand out and make an impression. Samuel and Marissa are given "Don't You Want Me" by The Human League, Hannah teams up with Alex for "Nowadays" from the musical Chicago, Lindsay and Cameron are assigned "Baby, It's Cold Outside", which leaves Matheus and Damian to do "Lady Is A Tramp".

In the first video, Damian continues to come alive while Matheus just didn't sit in that swing genre quite comfortably. Behind the scenes, Alex and Matheus get into an obnoxious competition of who can sing higher. Don't these people realize that part of being successful on Glee is being likeable to the fans?!

For "Nowadays", Alex decides to perform in drag alongside Hannah, which is definitely a gutsy move and the two do play well off each other. During Marissa's shoot with Samuel, she's told to kiss him but he's none the wiser - well, he certainly wasn't objecting, let's just say that! Lindsay and Cameron sound great together and she decides to plant a kiss on Cameron because she can't have the spotlight taken away from her.

Back in the rec room, Cameron feels horrible and calls his mom to vent how upset he is about the shoot. Poor guy.

Robert and Zach meet with the contestants afterwards to let them know who will definitely be back next week. Samuel and Marissa are the only ones who are definitely safe while the three remaining couples will all have to do a last chance performance. Hannah and Alex will be singing "Valerie", Damian and Matheus are given "These Boots Are Made For Walking" (what?!), and Cameron and Lindsay are assigned "River Deep, Mountain High".

After watching everyone, Ryan decides that Lindsay, Hannah, and Damian are all safe this week.  That leaves Alex, Matheus, and Cameron in the bottom three this week.  Cameron was overshadowed by Lindsay, Ryan's looking for Matheus to be a smooth crooner, and Alex is in the bottom because of his egotistical attitude.

When the callback list is posted, it's Matheus who doesn't see his name there and is eliminated from the competition.  Was that the right choice or should Alex or Cameron have gone instead?
