Dave Tango and Steve Gonsalves are back after a long exodus working on their reality show Ghost Hunters Academy, which some say has really devalued the "Ghost Hunters" franchise as envisioned by TAPS co-founders Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson.  But when you have an episode with the "Housewives" of any city, is the clock not already ticking?

Thurber House - Columbus, Ohio

Built in 1873 on the former site of the "Ohio Lunatic Asylum", the Thurber House is famous for being the home of James Thurber from 1913-1917.  James Thurber was a famous cartoonist and actually wrote a book called "My Life and Hard Times," based on his time living in this haunted house.  Apparitions have been seen, furniture is said to shake, and loud unexplainable noises come from areas where no one is present.

TAPS co-founders Grant Wilson and Jason Hawes were the first to investigate the house.  They first investigated a clock that is said to have never worked but one day decided to chime.  While messing with the clock, the guys were able to get it running again and it's apparent that any heavy vibration in the house could make the chime go off...fine.  As Grant and Jason were trying to communicate with James Thurber, the glass cover of the clock opened up and you had to wonder if this was James way of responding to them, scaring the camera man.

Kris Williams and Amy Bruni were the next to investigate the house.  While they were discussing some of the paranormal reports, they were interrupted by footsteps coming from the upstairs area.  No other team member was in the house at the time.   After finding nothing upstairs they headed back downstairs but no additional experiences were noted.

Widely missed, Dave and Steve wasted no time running into some paranormal activity on the main floor.  Steve believed it sounded like someone moving, or shuffling their feet.  Dave then experienced it as well and then it all suddenly stopped.  They were able to capture it on their audio devices and used it as part of their evidence.

No additional evidence was revealed to the client that hasn't already been mentioned.  Needless to say, Jason and Grant couldn't call the Thurber House haunted.

Canfield Casino - Saratoga Springs, New York

Built in 1870, the Canfield Casino was considered a "Play ground for the Rich."  It stayed a Casino until the fun police came and outlawed gambling in the city of Saratoga Springs in 1907.  Now a museum, the caretakers and guests have reported full body apparitions, voices, doors slamming, unexplained noises, and the ever popular footsteps.  One ghost seems to be a big fan of the Roulette wheel in the upstairs high stakes room, as it tends to spin by itself.

Jay and Grant started their investigation on the 3rd floor and while they were discussing the paranormal experiences of the living, a male and female voice caught their attention followed by something sounding like it was being moved and then some stomping on the floor.  Later in the show, an EVP was revealed but really wasn't that audible to the viewer.

Dave and Steve headed to the room on the third floor that was very "active" for Jason and Grant.  As they were making fun of one of the paintings of a women, that looked like a man...or vice versa, they heard a noise that sounded like a chime followed by Steve believing he was being tapped on the shoulder.  They were able to catch the noise on their audio recorder and verified on their video recorder that nothing visible was touching Steve's shoulder.

Kris and Amy headed to the third floor to see if they could get as much paranormal activity as the rest of the team had experienced.  As they were running an EVP session, they heard a noise and something seemed to pull or grab Kris's hair.  She thought maybe something was hanging from the doorway she walked through, but nothing was found that may have made it happen.

Jason and Grant were pretty impressed with the paranormal activity at the Canfield Casino.

Ghost Hunters airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Syfy.  Check your local listings, especially since the HD channels offer different times for the show.
