Tonight marked the second episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 3, and so far it seems like the women are actually getting along pretty well…it’s the one man that is the problem. Dwight. 

 

Kim is actually exercising which last season she swore she would NEVER do, but then decides to drink a beer instead  with her girlfriend/assistant Sweetie and is still promoting Tardy for The Party at local clubs.

 

Phaedra is supportive of Dwight, and also getting ready for her baby boy with her husband Apollo.

 

We meet Cynthia Bailey, a self-professed supermodel who is flabbergasted when her fiancé Peter, who owns Uptown Supper Club, is insisting on getting married. Cynthia has some issues with marriage and has been engaged 3 times before.  She is friends with both Kandi and NeNe.

 

Sheree’s divorce is finalized and she is going on a date in this episode. The man is a doctor and he wants to take her dancing, which is intimidating for Sheree who says she can’t dance. He send a car for her, but when she gets to the shady shake where he wants to meet her, she is hesitant. Once inside, he presents her with flowers that she is sure came from “Kroger”, but warms her up with his easy (and loud) laugh and his convincing her to have some fun and give dancing a shot. It doesn’t hurt that she is attracted to him and finds talking to him effortless.

 

Kandi has been discouraged a little about her music, as she was dropped from Capital Records, but wrote a hit song, no strings attached and no royalties collected, for Kim. She enlists Ne-Yo to help her with some fresh music and is now signed with Warner Brothers Records.  She is performing at the Uptown Supper Club on this episode with her new song, which pays homage to A.J. her former fiancé who passed away last season.

 

NeNe is having issues with both Greg and her son Brice who wants to move back in to the house. She is frustrated that Brice won’t get his act together, and was busted with a tiny bit of marijuana before. She thinks he is lazy and can’t stand that he doesn’t have a job or go to school. She gives him 90 days to move out.

 

At the Uptown Supper Club, Kim and Sheree show up, followed by Dwight and Phaedra who sit away from them. There is still tension from the shoe party, and Sheree wants nothing to do with Dwight, who she thinks is gossiping that she owes him money. NeNe shows up and it becomes awkward, because Dwight is being shunned by the entire group and sitting with Phaedra and her husband Apollo. Lawrence, he of the high heel shoes, tells all of the girls that he knows Apollo and met him when Apollo got out of his six year stint in prison. Well, there is some Hotlanta gossip! As you can imagine, the girls go wild. Finally, NeNe asks Cynthia if there is somewhere that she and Dwight can speak alone. Dwight agrees and they go into a back room where they apologize to each other…but things still seem tense between the two.
