The Biggest Loser 10: Episode 4 Recap

The Biggest Loser 10

Last night on The Biggest Loser, it was another Survivor-esque twist with the reveal of the golden medal of weight-gain! It's game on now, since the only way to win it is for the contestants to complete the temptation: a giant cupcake hunt.

Yes, that's right, it was a cupcake binge session to try and find the golden ticket, which would give the winner a 1-pound advantage at this week's weigh-in. However, the winner didn't have to use the advantage this week, they could use it next week and get a 2-pound advantage, and so on. Essentially, this could turn into a free pass for anyone who gets it.

So the eat-off was on, and the number of calories racked up quick. Eventually, Adam found the power 1,300 calories later, giving him the biggest power in Biggest Loser history--and the biggest target. Ada, Brendan, Frado and Patrick immediately swore to get him out ASAP.

Back to the gym, where more of the contestants seem like their tortured beyond their pain threshold. Lisa throws up again and Jillian tries to play psychologist. She screams her head of at Elizabeth who ends up having an asthma attack. Nice one, Jillian.

But it's not a two-hour episode without another twist, right? This week, there's a red line in addition to the yellow line, where the person where the lowest percentage of weight would automatically go home. The weigh-in was as follows:

Frado: -20 (-5.93%)
Ada: -10 (-4.27%)
Brendan: -11 (-3.37%)
Rick: -9 (-2.94%)
Adam: -10 (-2.81%)
Aaron: -12 (-2.78%)
Patrick: -10 (-2.73%)
Jessica: -7 (-2.68%)
Lisa: -7 (-2.63%)
Elizabeth: -6 (-2.62%)
Jesse: -8 (-2.43%)
Burgandy: -5 (-2.29%)
Mark: -8 (-2.17%)
Sophia: -2 (-0.79%) [under the red line]

Those who fell under the yellow line (let again mostly women) were invited over to Bob's house for a nice vegan dinner. Sadly, it's going to be the last supper for one of them, but not Jessica, who was saved by Frado.

The challenge this week is to unroll a 300 foot-long, 900-pound carpet to the end, then race back on it. Mark and Jesse smoke the girls (as you would expect the men to), while Burgandy was sidelines because of shin problems. That left Elizabeth and Lisa to fight it out for safety, and Lisa ended up edging her out. In the voting room, only Ada wanted Elizabeth out, but everyone else voted for Burgandy, sending her home, too.

Back at home, both Sophia and Burgandy are doing phenomenal. Sophia has started inspiring cheerleaders and the spin class she teaches, while Burgandy has become the leader of her friends and family in group workouts.

The Biggest Loser airs Tuesdays on NBC at 8/7c.
