Last night, on The City, Kelly encourages Whitney to keep herself and her line out there despite the fact that things didn't go well at Elle. Whitney and Roxy decide to check out a few fashion shows but Kelly advises them to leave if they're anywhere past the third row because that means they're losers.

 

During an Elle staff meeting, Olivia promises to land a Marc Jacobs interview during Fashion Week and Erin blatantly announces that she's looking for a new hire for Elle.com.

 

Sammy and Whitney head to their first show during Fashion Week - front row at Charlotte Ronson, those little celebs. Next up for Whitney, it's a meeting at Maybeline, where she shows them some pictures of her fall collection. They ask if she'd be interested in showing at Miami Fashion Week. Of course she would!

 

Joe and Olivia attend the Marc By Marc Jacobs show and he has to run right out afterwards but she promises that she can get the interview. Of course, as he walks away, you know things aren't going to go well. Reporter after reporter head backstage to do interviews, while Olivia and her cameraman are left out in the cold. She checks things out, then returns to the cameraman, saying that Marc isn't doing any press at all (which is a lie) and that Joe will be fine with it (which is also a lie).

 

Side note: Does Elle really need Olivia's pull to get backstage at a Marc Jacobs show? Does their name not speak for itself?

Strike two for Olivia: She oversleeps and doesn't show up for her interview at the Badgley Mischka show. Wow, crazy twist of fate. Louise, the British fashion journalist that Erin had already met with, happens to be sitting next to her and Joe at the show and agrees to jump right in to take Olivia's place. She does such a great job that Elle offers to use her again to do interviews for the site.

 

Back at People's Rev, Kelly decides to send just Whitney and Roxy to Miami Fashion week and won't be attending.  They'll have to do everything themselves and that's going to be a big challenge for them!  Mama Wolf can't look after them forever, though.

 

Erin met with Robbie to pitch the idea of hiring Louise and says that Olivia is not valuable at all.  Robbie says she'll make a call and it looks like we're about to witness the end of Olivia's reign at Elle.

 

 

The City airs Tuesdays at 10:30/9:30c on MTV.
