The Biggest Loser 8

Last time on The Biggest Loser, the final four returned home and ran the traditional Biggest Loser marathon, competing to make it to the live finale. Rudy and Danny stayed above the yellow line, earning their spots on the final show, while Liz and Amanda were put to America's vote as to which would would make the top three.

Tonight, the eliminated contestants return for a final weigh-in for their chance at $100,000. And, after the three finalists are determined, the remaining contestants hit the scale to see who is this season's Biggest Loser.

Amanda and Liz come out on stage first, both of whom look amazing. Amanda looks thinner to me than Liz, but that just may be my bias talking, because I'm really pulling for Amanda to make it. After the nationwide vote, the third finalist is revealed to be Amanda (yes!), so she's sent backstage.

Antoine, Alexandra, Sean and Julio are the first four to come out on stage. Sean and his wife have a new baby, while Antoine and Alexandra are dating and Julio feels like he's reached another goal in his life after the show. Their weigh-in results are as follows:

Julio: -180 (-44.23%)
Antoine: -152 (-41.42%)
Sean: -155 (-34.91%)
Alexandra: -91 (-29.45%)

Next up are Coach Mo, Tracey, Dina and Abby, all who look completely different, especially Tracey. You can barely even recognize her, which is so great to see after her struggle at the beginning of the season. Abby admits to struggling with her weight while she was at home, but she says she's back on track. After they weighed in, the results were:

Tracey: -118 (-47.20%)
Julio: -180 (-44.23%)
Antoine: -152 (-41.42%)
Abby: -100 (-40.49%)
Sean: -155 (-34.91%)
Dina: -79 (-31.23%)
Alexandra: -91 (-29.45%)
Coach Mo: -92 (-25.92%)

The last group of eliminates come on stage: Shay, Daniel, Rebecca and Allen. Rebecca and Allen by far look the most improved. Rebecca cut her hair so it's very blonde and quite short, which I'm not sure I like, though it's obvious she's embracing her body. Allen, on the other hand, looks very muscular and satisfied with his image. After this group, the results were:

Rebecca: -139 (-49.82%)
Tracey: -118 (-47.20%)
Julio: -180 (-44.23%)
Antoine: -152 (-41.42%)
Abby: -100 (-40.49%)
Shay: -172 (-36.13%)
Allen: -116 (-35.69%)
Daniel: -111 (-35.58%)
Sean: -155 (-34.91%)
Dina: -79 (-31.23%)
Alexandra: -91 (-29.45%)
Coach Mo: -92 (-25.92%)

Last up to weigh in is Liz, who needs to have lost more than half of her original body weight to win the at-home prize. It doesn't look like she's quite accomplished that, but I don't think I'm the one to judge. She steps on the scale and finds out she's lost 91 pounds, or 34.08% of her weight. So, Rebecca walks away with the $100,000 prize and the pride of being the at-home winner.

However, the prizes don't stop there. Subway surprises Shay with a challenge of her own: for every pound she loses between now and next season's finale (in May), they will give her $1,000. Shay seems really excited and claims she'll be 100 pounds lighter by the time we see her again.

Back to the finalists, who each have their own montage of their time on the ranch, how they got to this point, etc. In between clips, Antoine proposes to Alexandra (who accepted), making them yet another Biggest Loser couple.

Speaking of Biggest Loser: Couples, the 3rd installment of the Couples series and the 9th season of the show debuts on NBC on January 5, so we won't have to be without The Biggest Loser for too long!

Amanda, Rudy and Danny step out on stage, all visibly nervous about the results. After all the anticipation, they finally weigh-in. The results are as follows:

Danny: -239 (-55.58%)
Rudy: -234 (-52.94%)
Amanda: -87 (-34.80%)

Going from 430 pounds all the way down to 191, Danny is the winner of the Biggest Loser: Second Chances, must to the satisfaction of many in the audience. Danny doesn't have anything but positive things to say, which makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside, too. Isn't this show the best for those feel good feelings? Until January and a new season!
