Previously on Big Brother 11, Kevin won
HoH after Jeff saved him from eviction. The entire house targeted Michele, but
she won the Power of Veto, forcing Kevin to nominate Jordan alongside Jeff.
Michele, Jeff and Jordan all tried to get Natalie to keep Jeff, but to no avail
as he was evicted in a tie vote. After a close HoH competition, Natalie came
out victorious, securing her spot in the semifinals.
Picking up from where we left off,
Natalie walks into her HoH room super excited (since, you know, this is the
first time she’s won it) and she’s confronted with Pandora’s Box. When she gets
the chance to spend 20 minutes with her boyfriend, she opens it. But it’s not
so much that she opened it, it’s the fact that she has such a hard time lying
about it downstairs. I mean, this girl got half the house to believe that she
was 18 and she can’t lie about seeing her boyfriend? Come on now.
So what does she do? She stops denying it
and just asks people to not ask about what happened. And still, no one buys it.
Faced with no other choice (except maybe to shut up, but this is Natalie we’re
talking about), Natalie comes clean, but still people don’t believe her—ouch.
It makes me question how she was able to get people to believe she’s just out
of high school, but she can’t even make a textbook lie. No wonder no one likes
Natalie—in fact, in a recent RealityWanted poll on who members would like to
see win, less than 10% chose Natalie, while over 50% picked Michele.
Now back to this 18 year-old lie and a
gaping hole in it: she drinks alcohol (which has been seen both on the show and
the feeds). I know lots of people in the US drink underage, but would a
national television show really allow that, much less let it go on?
But Natalie just doesn’t seem to learn.
Now she starts lying about wanting to nominate Kevin this week, even though she
really has no control over who gets nominated this week (unless she wins the
veto, but given her track record, I’m pretty much counting her out of that
one). She’s played a decent game until now. Not necessarily the most
fan-friendly, but I will give her that her game has been solid until she won
HoH. Now, she’s just getting messy and making sloppy moves left and right. Is
anyone left going to show that they’re worth winning $500,000? I really hope
so.
The episode finally cuts to the chase and
Natalie nominates Kevin and Michele for eviction. As I’ve said before, it
doesn’t mean much, because whoever wins the Power of Veto will save themselves
and become the sole vote in this week’s eviction. Pointless? Yes, but it still
fills air time for CBS.
Tune in to Big Brother 11 on Tuesday at
9/8c to see who wins the Power of Veto, who gets saved and who gets evicted
right before the semifinal round!
