The cast has been revealed, they’ve entered the house and the game is on! Big Brother 11 returns Thursday on CBS at 8/7c, but RealityWanted got a chance to chat with all the houseguests before they moved in. Read about the Big Brother Houseguests and check out all their interviews here. We’ve even got some connections to current houseguests! Two of this season’s contestants, Ronnie Talbott and Laura Crosby are RealityWanted members and, according to Kevin Campbell, he’s used RealityWanted to find open casting calls for the show.
But those three weren’t the only ones to experience some kind of success from the site. Earlier this summer, RealityWanted teamed up with Kassting, Inc. and Justin.tv to score at least one applicant from our site a semi-formal interview with a Big Brother casting producer. We recently caught up with the winner, Patrick, who got a call with the casting staff.
“They gave me a mini-interview and they were aware of who I was,” Patrick said. “Based on the conversation I had with them, even though I may not have been picked, they have my name on file. I’m out there and they know who I am, so if there are any other opportunities, they can call me up.
“RealityWanted.com definitely works! I’d been on it for a month when I won the contest, so I’m definitely a testimony to what can happen.”
Another member, Ryan applied to the Big Brother contest through the website. Though he didn’t win, he ended up getting a call from Big Brother producers anyway.
“I got a call after submitting some photos and a paragraph on RealityWanted.com,” Ryan said. “I spoke to the head casting director on the phone, who sent me the tape instructions and the paperwork.
“I have made tapes for other shows and I was a finalist for other shows like The Bachelorette, I Survived a Japanese Gameshow and Daisy of Love. My strategy for getting on shows is simple, do everything the casting directors ask and nothing they don’t ask. Reality contestants are a dime a dozen and they are always looking for a reason to get rid of you, not to keep you.”
Kassie, another RealityWanted.com member, got a call from CBS without even applying after they found her by doing a search on the site.
“I want to let people know that even being passive leads to calls. I received a call from a Big Brother casting director asking me to apply.” Kassie said.
