For many weeks leading up to the finale, fans of Make Me A Supermodel knew that Jonathan and Sandhurst would be two of the last three contestants standing.  The question: Who would take that final spot in the finale?  The answer: 18 year old model Branden Rickman.  This Oregon native came into the competition with very little modeling experience but proved that if you've got the look, it doesn't matter one bit.  Viewed as the underdog, Branden pulled out strong photos and runway walks, impressing the judges in the final stretch.  They saw something unique in him and named him the winner of the second season of Make Me A Supermodel.  Today, Branden took time out of his busy schedule to speak to RealityWanted in an exclusive interview!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Now that the finale has aired and people know that you’ve won, what has this day been like for you?
A. Branden: It’s awesome.  I’ve been waiting to tell people!  That release is off my shoulders.  It’s great, I love it.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Did you watch the first season of Make Me A Supermodel prior to trying out for the show?
A. Branden: I did watch season 1.  Season 1 was the reason why I started getting into modeling.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What was your modeling experience before doing the show?
A. Branden: I did a couple things.  Just a couple local, little things.  I shot with a couple of my agency’s photographers.  Not anything would pay me.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Were you nervous going into the competition because other models might have had more experience than you?
A. Branden: I wasn’t nervous at all going into the competition.  I just went in feeling like whatever happens, happens.  I was going to do my best and not care what people think.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What was the toughest part of the competition for you?
A. Branden: There were a couple things.  The critiquing and stuff.  I used to take things really hard but throughout the competition, I learned not to underestimate myself.  I’m a good model and a good human being.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Going into the finale against Sandhurst and Jonathan, how confident were you?
A. Branden: I was really confident, actually.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Sandhurst mentioned that some of the models felt like it was always going to be him and Jonathan in the finale and everyone else was fighting for that third spot.  Did you feel that way?
A. Branden: We knew it was going to be Jonathan and Sandhurst in the finale.  We actually all thought it was going to be Sandhurst, Jonathan, and Jordan but I didn’t really like Jordan.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: The judges kept saying last night that you brought something unique to the table.  Is that something that you saw in yourself?
A. Branden: I did.  I saw something that I never saw in myself before.  It was weird because it was just one shot.  I did a really good job.  The uniqueness I brought was the vulnerable side of me.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What are your future plans and will the show help you as you go forward with your modeling career?
A. Branden: I’m not going to try to use the show as a backup with anything because people don’t care in the fashion world if you won a tv show.  They know what look they want and that’s what they want.  I’m going to use the money to get to New York and follow my dream.
