Recently we had the opportunity to participate in a conference call with Ryan Hoag from The Bachelorette. Hoag a 28 year old professional football player originally from Minneapolis, MN talked about his experiences while on the show.
Q. What were your thoughts on the other guys when you went into the house?
A. Ryan Hoag, (The Bachelorette): My faith and religious convictions set me apart from the other guys. Overall the guys were cool, especially when we spoke about my virginity. Robert made a comment that it was important to him also.
Q. Do you think some of the guys weren’t there for the right reasons?
A. Ryan Hoag, (The Bachelorette): Yes. Twilley wasn’t there for the right reasons. He took over for 15 minutes during a group date. We had some good conversations after and patched things up. Though I still question whether he is there to find true love.
Q. Which guys do you think are a good fit for Deanna?
A. Ryan Hoag, (The Bachelorette): She connects well with Jeremy. Jason’s one of the nicest people and seems like an incredible father. I don’t see Deanna having a problem with him being a father. Graham is up there and Brian and Fred are there for the right reasons.
Q. Did you make any friends that you will stay in touch with after the show?
A. Ryan Hoag, (The Bachelorette): That was a big surprise. There was a great group of guys in the house, they were all very dynamic and you learn to bond with them. There are four guys I bonded with, Brian, Fred, Jason and Graham. Probably won’t stay in touch with Jeremy, we rubbed eachother the wrong way.
Q. What problems did you have with Jeremy?
A. Ryan Hoag, (The Bachelorette): There were concerns regarding Jeremy. I had a problem when Deanna kept giving him alone time yet she and I had a conversation about us trying to find a mutual connection. Jeremy was trying too hard. I felt like he was talking down to all of us.
Q. Is Deanna the type of girl you normally date?
A. Ryan Hoag, (The Bachelorette): We didn’t have that spark to continue. Initially I thought there was a connection.
Q. Are you sad?
A. Ryan Hoag, (The Bachelorette): If we aren’t a match then we aren’t a match. I have faith that I will find the person I am supposed to be with.
Q. Why did you try out for the show?
A. Ryan Hoag, (The Bachelorette): Actually a friend nominated me. So I researched Deanna to find out more about her and then decided to go on the show.
Q. Are you dating anyone now?
A. Ryan Hoag, (The Bachelorette): No, I am single.
