It's the semi-finals and even though there's only four couples remaining the drama is intensifying. Over the past 8 weeks each of the finalists have been in the lead when judges scores and votes were combined. Basically, it's anyone's competition to win. To up the ante there are two rounds of competition including a first ever judges choice round where each judge has full creative control over a couple's dance. They won't judge the couple they mentor (which is best for Julianne who returns as a dancer for a routine! And so does Len!).

Round One:
Rumer and Val - Viennese Waltz - 38
Noah and Sharna - Viennese Waltz - 36
Riker and Allison - Contemporary - 40
Nastia and Derek/Sasha - Quickstep - 40

Round Two (judges choice):
Rumor and Val - Bruno - Contemporary Fusion - 30
Noah and Sharna - Carrie Ann - Paso Doble - 30
Riker and Allison - Julianne - Argentine Tango - 30
Nastia and Derek - Len - Viennese Waltz - 30

We get a little background on the contestants tonight. Rumer's insecurities almost cost her a career but with parents like Demi and Bruce as well as friends like Glen Close, she didn't give up. Noah's midwest background led him to a natural fitting into the military. His calling came during September 11th but his life changed when he was injured on duty, losing an arm and a leg. But you can't keep him down, his performance was flawless and he had a beautiful smirk on his face... maybe because he was planning to propose to his girlfriend!! That's right, she surprised him on week 2 and now he's surprising her with an engagement ring!

Riker was born the oldest of 5 kids, taking lead of the performances the children would put on for they're parents. Born in Moscow, Nastia moved to America as a toddler and grew up in the gym. Dad was an olympic champion an that's all she had ever dreamed of but in 2012 she fell on the uneven bars and knew her career was over.

Nonetheless someone has to go and no matter who's name is called it will be a shock. Noah is the lowest scoring of the remaining semi-finalists but he may have the most viewer votes.

::SPOILER ALERT::

Headed to the finals are Riker and Allison, Noah and Sharna and Rumer and Val. Which means Nastia and Derek are gone. Maybe there is such a thing as too perfect and America just needed emotion from Nastia?
