Invites and Ride-Alongs

John David is Duggar number three, twin with Jana, both 25. His family describes him as steady and tender-hearted. He must be his mother's son because in order to spend quality time with him she's willing to learn how to use an excavator and a dump truck. He even exclaims that one day he might help her bake brownies to return the favor. So sweet!

Now it's Jim Bob's turn. He's going on a ride-along with John David who is also a police officer with the Tontitown Police Department. When told to stay in the car during a routine traffic stop/back-up, of course Jim Bob gets out. But it's not to be nosey, it's to grab snacks. So when John David pulls someone over for a busted tail light, Jim Bob is just munching away on donuts.

Derick's mom his moving to Omaha, Nebraska for further cancer treatment. Jill has had a lot of nausea throughout her first trimester but it's not stopping her from sending off her mother-in-law with a sweet homemade treat. (For the first three months with 19 children, Michelle has had almost 5 years of morning sickness.) During the procedure she'll be doing a stem cell transplant with her own stem cells.

Josh has helped Jessa and Ben with their wedding invitations by using the engagement photos Jinger took. While going over the photos Ben discloses that the has invited people he has passed in the grocery store and people he's met on the street. Jessa's response? "We'll have to buy another pack of hot dogs."

Wedding Prep and Pies

Younger Duggar boys Jason and James are making trial pies for Jessa and Ben's pie themed rehearsal dinner. If all goes well they hope to be included in the menu making as a wedding gift... but the rehearsal dinner could include hundreds of people. Michelle thinks their food cooking skills are more for survival instead of appearance. But it's nice to see the Duggars teaching "everybody eats, so everybody cooks".

While Ben is designing Jessa's wedding band, Jessa is with her sisters picking out flowers. For her bridal party alone over 10 dozen flowers will be needed.

Back in DC, Josh is taking Mackenzie and Michael to the music store. According to Anna, Josh can play several instruments. Can all the Duggars? Well, Mackenzie is starting the violin and Michael is starting the piano (combined the Duggars have spent over 20,000 hours practicing the violin).
