All Emily Maynard could say during her turn as The Bachelorette was how Sean Lowe was the perfect man. Maybe he was perfect, but not perfect for her. After visiting his hometown in Texas and then taking him for a romantic getaway in Curacao, she decided that she didn't ultimately see a future with him. When he reappeared at the After The Final Rose ceremony, the women in the audience couldn't get enough of him and ABC was listening. Today, they announced that the 28 year old Texan would be the one to hand out roses next.
Just two days ago on the red carpet at the Emmys, host Chris Harrison told Entertainment Weekly, "We are not confirming anyone right now. We haven't started production yet. Let's just say I think Sean would be a great guy." It seems a lot can change in two days! Not only has Sean been officially announced, but the first rose ceremony has already taken place as well. Last night, show creator Mike Fleiss Tweeted, "About to head to tonite's rose ceremony... @chrisbharrison and I are planning a few surprises!!!" Today, he followed that up with, "I feel a very wonderful love story brewing..." Already?!
Check out the women vying for Sean's heart over at ABC.com. Though she is not listed on ABC's site, it's rumored that Bachelor Pad contestant (superfan) Paige Vigil will be back in the mansion, this time competing for Sean's heart. Let us know which girl you think is Sean's type?
And are you excited that Sean is the new Bachelor, or were you secretly hoping for race car driver and hopeless romantic Ari Luyendyk?
