The designers will be designing for the world, as Project Runway All Stars takes on The United Nations.

 

The designers meet Angela at the headquarters of the United Nations...this should be interesting. The challenge: design a dress inspired by one of the six flags chosen from the world's major regions. The flag represents a country and it's colors and cultures will influence their look.

 

Mondo won the challenge last week and gets to choose first...he goes with Jamaica. Michael picks Greece, Mila picks Papua New Guinea, Jerell picks India, Austin picks Seychelles, so that leaves Kenley with Chile.

 

The designers do some sketching and then shopping. Kenley gives advice to Austin while shopping, which makes Mila wonder how some people can be so giving during a competition. We have focused a lot on Mila already, so I think she is going home.

 

All the designers take a break to eat, but Austin stays in the workroom because he hasn't found a design he is comfortable with yet for his dress. Michael seems to be done quite early, but he has some sewing to do still...the designers are all giving him crap.

 

Joanna comes in for her visit and shows she is not smart by not knowing Jamaica's flag...maybe they should have prepped her? She doesn't like Mondo's dress for not being able to wear a bra with it. She says Jerell's looks like a national costume. For Michael's dress, she comments on another gown not able to wear a bra. She also questions if he is being comfortable or pushing himself? Kenley has polka dots...big surprise. Joanna asks if she is convinced she can stand out among the other designers and she says yes.

 

At the end of the night, Mondo has a lot of work to still do by the time for runway...Kenley is worried about timing as well.

 

It's the morning of runway show...all the designers seem to be stressed to finished, except Michael, who happens to be hating on Austin's dress. Mondo said all Michael's model needs is a crown and she could be Miss World (another pageant gown for him). Austin says Jerell's dress is vulgar and tasteless.

 

Time for the runway: the judges this week will be Angela, Georgina, Isaac and guest judge this week is French fashion designer Catherine Malandrino, who did a whole collection based on the American flag. My likes this week: Jerell (very Indian looking), Mondo (love the dress, maybe a little plain, but back makes up for it) And my dislikes: Kenley (new week, same lame polka dot look), Austin (draping is very bad) and Michael (back way too low).

 

Time for the judges critique: the love Kenley's dress, but Isaac told her to not do it again next week...they all look the same. Thought Jerell's dress may be a little too costumy and Michael's dress was too pageantry. For Austin, they thought it was a pretty dress, but did not like the colors and thought it looked incomplete. Mondo's dress was liked, but the back did not win them over. Isaac got communism from Mila's dress...said it looked Russian.

 

Michael is safe, so the winner of this week's challenge is : Mondo (another victory). So, Kenley is safe (ugh) and so is Austin. That leaves us with Jerell and Mila (I told you they featured her a lot at the beginning and would be going home...was I right)? Jerell is safe, so Mila is headed home...I was right.
