The X Factor: Top 10

by Todd Betzold

The Top 10 will be rockin' out when they hit the stage tonight on The X Factor, as they take on some of the greatest rock ‘n' roll hits of all-time.

The first one up tonight is Leroy Bell, who I am surprised is still in the competition. He does a good job with his song, but again it just seems boring to me. Like L.A. said, he's good, but we want more.

Sidenote: host Steve Jones is kind of an idiot and he is rude. He basically took Simon and L.A. giving harsh criticism to Leroy and asked Leroy how it felt to be told he was horrible. Not what was said...can we bring Ryan Seacrest to this show as well?

Now time for my favorite, Rachel Crow. This girl is real good. She has some sass on that stage and her vocals are amazing. She may be young, but this girl has soul in her voice and she is so darn cute!

Another one I am struggling to like, Chris Rene, is up next...can he change it this week? I enjoyed him this week. It was a fun song and the performance was enjoyable. He sang "No Woman, No Cry" by Bob Marley and yet again the judges argued, yet again, that it is a reggae song and not rock. The judges are more concerned about themselves and overshadow the singers so much...I hate it!

One of my other faves, Stacy Francis, is next to hit the stage. I'm torn on this one. She had good moments during the performance, but the arrangement was not good and I didn't enjoy it as the judges didn't either and Stacy looked scared out of her mind as Steve announced her numbers to vote for her...girl is nervous!

And here she is, the last of my female girls, Melanie Amaro. Now, she has an amazing voice and we all know she can sing...was it rock? I didn't hear the rock, but can the judges move past the theme and just notice that these people can sing?

Josh Krajcik is up next and he's a strong contender, as well. Rock is his genre, so this should be amazing. Now that was rock ‘n' roll. Josh did an amazing job and he had the crowd roaring. He looked comfortable on that stage and as Simon said, that was bloody fantastic.

The little rapper, Astro, is up next and he may struggle with the theme this week. I am so confused with this episode. The judges have been complaining about them not singing rock songs, but Astro comes up and sings a Puff Daddy song and they all love it. Yes, he was good, but it was not anywhere near rock.

Lakoda Rayne, cute girls but not that great to me, are up next. And that performance didn't change anything for me and how I feel about them. It was fun and alright, but I just don't think they compare to the other singers on the show.

Getting complaints last week saying that she sounds the same each week, Drew gets to change it up this week. So, she has a unique voice and is a great singer, but it is the same each and every week. I am bored with her...change it up and show us another side of you girl.

Marcus Canty is the last singer of the night and he usually puts on a great performance, so I am excited to see this one. It was a good performance and a little bit more upbeat than others. He did well.

I was just not feeling tonight...it was a blah night for me...how about you all?

Find out who will be sent home tomorrow night when The X Factor airs at 8/7c on Fox.
