The Biggest Loser 12

This week, on The Biggest Loser, Alison informs the contestants that not only will they be competing as individuals from now on, but they'll have to compete in a pentathlon to prove what they're made of! The winner of that gets immunity while the loser gets a one pound disadvantage on the scale. With the yellow line's first appearance this season quickly approaching, everybody needs to be at their best!

In the first round, players have to rank each other in the order that they feel deserves to win, from first to last. This doesn't really seem like an event for a pentathlon. As John said, it feels a lot more like a popularity contest. Everyone has their own strategy, the worst being Sunny, who just votes alphabetically to avoid having an opinion.

For the second event, players run across a tennis court and grab covers to go over an opposing member's peg. Once a player has three pegs covered, they're out and players earn points based on how long they stay in the competition. As one might imagine, the testosterone kicks in and the guys all take each other out. Once Bonnie goes out, it's between Becky and Sunny for the win and Sunny takes round two.

The contestants take a break (if you wanna call it that) for a workout, where John struggles taking orders from Dolvett. Then again, Dolvett is dropping a heavy medicine ball on his stomach while he's trying to work out. He ends up coming around and jumps up from running 30 seconds at a 7.4 to a 9.0. Man, look out for him...

The third round is a quiz on nutrition. Antone suddenly turns into Russell Crowe from A Beautiful Mind and starts knocking out question after question. Though he misses one at the end, he wins this round with ease.

Following John's victory in the gym, Dolvett pays him a visit to share his emotional story about being taken away from his mom and adopted by foster parents at a young age. He can relate to John and builds him up to realize that if he lets go, he can accomplish amazing things. That conversation may go down as the best moment of the season.

In the fourth round, the contestants use ropes to pull themselves across a pool on a flotation device. With a time of 1:24, Sunny smokes the competition and wins another round!

After their last chance workout, Olympic medalist Apolo Anton Ohno (swoon) shows up with Subway and some words of encouragement, then joins them for the final round of the pentathlon - running a mile as fast as possible. Ramon crushes his mile time, finishing first and in just over 9 minutes.

At the weigh in, we find out that the contestants voted Antone and Becky as the most deserving of The Biggest Loser title. Because of that, Antone is able to pull ahead of Sunny overall, winning immunity. Bonnie finishes in last and takes the one pound penalty.

The results on the scale are as follows:

Antone: -9 (immune)

Bonnie: -5 +1 (1.88%)

John: -9 (2.82%)

Vinny: -10 (2.90%)

Sunny: -9 (4.17%)

Becky: -4 (2.15%)

Ramon: -7 (2.50%)

So it comes down to former teammates Bonnie and Becky. Feeling that she's gotten everything she can out of her experience on the ranch, Bonnie volunteers to be the one to leave. To date, she's lost a total of 68 pounds.  As Bob would say: You go, Grandma!

The Biggest Loser airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC.
