Big Brother Season 12

by Gina Scarpa

Tonight, on Big Brother, Brendon and Rachel come close to admitting defeat after being nominated against each other again. It's so odd that they act like people who have been in a relationship for years when they've barely known each other two months. They love each other, they fight, they can't breathe without the other one, they make out, they cry... it's a bit much. They both need to get a grip.

Every now and then, Big Brother allows players to practice a competition before they actually have to compete in it. Who knew? Rachel sobs in her bed while people practice a bowling game in the backyard. When she finally decides to sulk her way outside, she's actually pretty awesome in it. If I were the Brigade, I'd be a little scared.

Matt gathers everyone in the living room to choose POV players. Brendon and Rachel will of course play along with Ragan, who won a veto ticket in a previous competition. Kathy and Britney's names are drawn from the bag and Brendon chooses Enzo after taking out the Houseguest Choice chip.

The doorbell rings at the house and it's Jeff and Jordan from last season! Love them! They'll be hosting today's veto competition and hanging out for a bit before Jeff heads off on his adventure, Around The World For Free, which can be seen on cbs.com.

The bowling game is fairly simple. Though the pins aren't set up in the normal 10 pin configuration you're used to, players have to knock down as many as they can in 45 seconds then challenge someone to beat their score. Kathy surprisingly knocks out Rachel and then, Britney eliminates Brendon! Britney then turned around and took out Enzo, Matt knocked out Ragan and Britney eliminated Kathy, leaving only Matt and Britney. Britney pulled off an amazing victory, getting all 10 pins in 45 seconds, and wins the POV for the third time!

After the competition, Rachel confronts Kathy for celebrating too much for her taste when she beat her. She walks away but Rachel immediately follows her, insisting on continuing the fight and demanding an apolgy. Kathy says that she was picked because Rachel thought she could beat her but she didn't so she celebrated. Fair enough. No apology will be happening here.

Ragan heads to the diary room and choosing a suggestion from a fan on Facebook to turn Rachel and Brendon against each other. Awe. Some. A saboteur video informs her that her man has been throwing competitions in order to further his own game. Rachel doesn't fall for it, which is good for her, but now the house thinks that she's the saboteur.

Deciding that it's time to do more than just talk trash and sleep with Brendon, Rachel decides to step up her game and campaign hard to stay in the house. She offers Britney $5,000 to take her off the block but she knows it would look horrible if she did.

Leading up to the POV meeting, Brendon promised to take a bullet for Rachel and he wasn't kidding.  After Rachel turns on the waterworks for her speech, Brendon goes off on Britney.  He calls her a spoiled brat and says that she's working with Matt and Ragan.  Britney laughs at him and decides, not surprisingly, not to use the Power of Veto.

Find out who is eliminated from the Big Brother house, Thursday at 8/7c on CBS.
