Big Brother Season 12

by Gina Scarpa

Tonight, on Big Brother, it will either be Kathy or Andrew that walks out the door of the Big Brother house. It would've been Kathy or Brendon but the guy is a POV powerhouse. Up until Andrew's bizarre speech last night, I thought it was almost a sure thing that Kathy was leaving but leave it up to the podiatrist to shoot himself in the foot.

Up in the HOH room, Matt is completely convinced that Andrew's speech was a complete act - and he would be right. In fact, he calls him out on it but Andrew denies, denies, denies.

Andrew's idiotic speech blows up in more way than one. When Rachel finds out that it was some master plan, she's pissed at Brendon from keeping it from her. He tries to charm his way out of it, even telling her that he loves her (WHAT?!), but she's not having it with the games that he's trying to play.

Kathy begins campaigning to stay in the house, telling everyone that she needs the prize money to pay off her medical bills. As Andrew watches everyone rally around his opponent on the block, he first gets emotional, then attacks other people in the house. His huge blowout with Kristen that has the entire house eavesdropping and taking sides.

Julie gives the houseguests a gift this week, when she promises that no one will have to be on slop.

We finally get to hear what Matt's wife thinks of his strategy to lie to his housemates and say that she has a serious illness. In a video interview, she admits that she doesn't agree with his strategy and feels that he may not have thought of all the repercussions of this lie. That's true. If everyone finds out that he made it all up, he's as good as gone.

It's time for the speeches by the two nominees. Kathy tells everyone how much she loves them and how she refuses to break her integrity or loyalty in order to stay in this game. Andrew decides to use his time to oust Hayden and Kristen and repeat every bad thing he's ever heard them say about the other housemates. Damn! If Andrew leaves, he'll go out guns a-blazin'.

After that, it's not much of a surprise that Andrew is unanimously voted out of the Big Brother house. He may have left, but I have a feeling that his words will leave a lasting impression on the people still playing the game.  Outside, with Julie, he finds out that Matt was lying about his wife's disease.  His goodbye videos were a mixture of warm emotions and cold comments but it's clear that he does leave the house with some real friends.

In order to become the new HOH, the housemates will have to face off against one in another in a trivia contest about previous challenges they've competed in this season.  Hayden and Britney face off first and Britney gets knocked out.  Hayden chooses Brendon and Rachel to face off.  Shocking.  Rachel knocks Brendon out and chooses Kristen and Hayden to face off.  Kristen knocks Hayden out and chooses Kathy and Rachel to face off.  Kathy answers incorrectly, knocking herself out, and Rachel chooses Kristen and Enzo to face off.  Kristen knocks Enzo out and chooses Rachel and Ragan to face off.  Rachel knocks Ragan out and has no choice but to pit Kristen and Lane against one another.  Lane knocks Kristen out and faces off against Rachel for the win.

The new HOH is... Rachel... again!

Julie leaves us with an upcoming twist.  Pandora's Box is making a comeback and one houseguest will be offered the opportunity to become the new saboteur.  Fans can head to CBS.com to vote for who they feel should receive the offer.

Find out who Rachel nominated for eviction on Big Brother, Sunday night at 8/7c on CBS.
