Ed Battaglia and Jason Ellis from Hell's Kitchen Season 7

Last night, on Hell's Kitchen, Chef Ramsay eliminated two of his final six chefs - Ed and Jason, despite the fact that they weren't even the worst of the evening. Put up against Autumn, who has been nominated for an amazing five times, Ed took the fall for a bad dinner service and headed home. When Jason was later nominated against Ben, a chef that was thrown out of the kitchen for his poor performance, Chef Ramsay decided that he would be the one to leave. Today, the two chefs, and friends, spoke to RealityWanted in an exclusive interview about their time in Hell's Kitchen.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What made you want to try out for Hell's Kitchen?
A. Ed: I always wanted to be on the show, from day one. Chef Ramsay's demeanor, his craziness... I watched it on tv and it cracked me up. It made me laugh. The first time I walked through those doors, though, I wanted to go back to Jersey.
A. Jason: I like competitive situations. I'd never turn away from a challenge. I auditioned, I made it, and I welcome any challenge.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What Chef Ramsay what you expected, based on seeing him on tv, or was he different?
A. Ed: He was 100% of what I expected. It's Gordon Ramsay. He didn't change for us.
A. Jason: He was what I thought he would be. I didn't expect nothing less from th guy. Off camera, he's cool. You can talk to him and ask him for advice. In the kitchen, though, he's hell.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Who stood out to you, right away, as your biggest competition?
A. Jason: Jay, Ben, and Ed early on. I'm not gonna lie. The more I got to know Ed, I knew he knew his stuff. Ed wasn't shy about leading and speaking up. I'm a big guy and the more I talk, the more I know I need to keep my mouth shut. I would've gotten voted off and it would've nothing to do with cooking.
A. Ed: I'm gonna have to say Jason, Jay, and Mikey actually. I saw his crazy hair and he separated himself from everybody. I look at him at was like, "What is this guy about?" I had that in the back of my head. I think it was that simple, stupid haircut. I love Mikey, though.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Autumn has been nominated for elimination several times. Is she really that bad or is there some sort of strategy going on in trying to get her out?
A. Ed: Autumn sucks.
A. Jason: She's definitely the weakest, no question. You don't have to take this from us. You might think were arrogant. I promise you, though. I'm just saying! Does Autumn deserve to be in the final four? Absolutely not. Nobody thinks that she deserves to be there, besides her boyfriend and her parents. Autumn is more the ditzy, cute, "Oh, hello, I woke up in the world today. Oh, is that the sun?" kind of girl. Come on! Stop it! Stop playing! There's no way she should be there!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: I take it you both think you left too early in the competition.
A. Ed: Well, we left a little too early but between me and Jason, we did everything we could to stay.
A. Jason: I wasn't bitter about being voted out. I was ok. I had accomplished what I needed to accomplish to get me to the next level. There's no question. I do believe that I shouldn't have gotten voted out against Ben and I do believe I shouldn't have left before Autumn. Hands for hands, me and Ben cooking, that night, I cooked better.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Where are you cooking now and what are you up to?
A. Ed: I'm still teaching and doing what I love. I'm teaching the up and coming chefs of the future and trying to get some things working. I want to get a tv show going and that's about it. I'm not trying to get anything real crazy but I'm trying to make a move to the top.
A. Jason: I'm still doing my personal private chef thing. Before Hell's Kitchen, I cooked for a lot of celebrities in Atlanta. Since being on the show, my clientele has been solidified even more. I actually got a call from Venus and Serena Williams a couple days ago. I have restaurant opportunities, consultant opportunities, and I've locked in some things with the NFL and football camps. It's not the end of me. I have a lot of things on the table. I'm the Jennifer Hudson of the show. Sometimes when you lose, you really win.
